I’m a part of a small community of racers that are currently racing on Forza 5 on the Xbox One. The community, as you’ve probably guessed from the title, is called Legends Racing League. LRL started back in 2011 (I was not a part of it back then), and started with some of the Codemaster’s F1 games. However, the staple series has always really been Forza, since 3.
The main series that we used to run, up to the end of Forza 4, was the BTCC league. However, we are now with Forza 5, and we are currently running a WEC GT Championship (As of posting this, we have done about 70% of the races, with 3 rounds to go, but still feel free to join to get a feel for what it’s like to race against us). LRL (I would think) with more members, would have more variety in series… However currently the numbers are quite a bit down on what they used to be. In recent times, we used to have quite a few active members racing with us, and we’d always be able to fill up the lobbies. However now, some members have lost interest, and with the switch to the new console, a few of the core members have been lost. We still retain the majority of the core members, however we are dwindling in numbers, and it’s very disappointing to see this. I have been a member of the community for actually one of the shortest amounts of time compared with most of those still racing (the founders are still around racing, and most of the main mods, though there have been 1/2 major losses on that front and it’s actually quite sad to have lost them).
What I can say is that LRL is definitely the best group of people I’ve ever raced with. Clean, fair and competitive. The main guys are always talkative, up for good banter, but don’t try to push you out and make you feel welcome. So, if you are looking for a group of people to race with, come sign up to LRL. You can sign up to the site but don’t have to sign up to races right away.
Bearing in mind, right now LRL is currently part way through the WEC GT Championship, but that does not stop people signing up for the rest of the season.
