lets normalize leaving people to playing their game. if you approach a driver and they ignore you just let them be dont continue to follow them and beep at them send them messages.

You cannot control other players in a multiplayer environment in any game. The only thing in your control is whether to play Horizon Online or Horizon Solo.

I also rarely see that behaviour, and generally have lots of other players in my session, at least until the annoying regular server disconnect pops up lol.
But yeah, it’s annoying when someone just won’t leave a body alone. I don’t mind a brief attempt at interaction, and if I’m in the mood I’ll join. But if I’m not responding there’s a reason. Get the hint and move along. Go bother someone else

@anonyyymous never said anything about controlling others actions (i know everybody is free to do as they please) just asking if we can normalize better gaming behavior. when you think about most people have friends on xbox/pc if you want to play with others play with the people on your friends list. horizon solo sucks u cant gather skill points cause every drivatar car hits you. im just saying if a driver ignores you leave them alone. also i do play online a lot but you cant tune ur car while racing.

@Not_Here_Too since i made this post ive had 4 people follow me till i fast traveled across the map.
im never in the mood to join or play with people. if i want to live race with people ill go into the TOUR or OPEN.
FREEROAM for me at least is to “attempt” to tune cars and grab skill points
If I see someone else drifting around I’ll honk a few times but if they clearly aren’t interested I take the hint and leave.
@KnightOfRen8514 its not everybody but lots of times people just dont get it.
its just one of those things that bothers the hell out of me when im trying to tune and use the actual courses instead of just driving around aimlessly

I’m not disagreeing with you. What I’m trying to say is no matter what you say it won’t change how others play. That’s what I meant by you can’t control other players. You will have your norms, your trolls and all those in-between.

At least this isn’t like other multiplayer driving games where people can actually ram you and troll you in freeroam, with little recourse.
At least in this game, everyone is a mostly-invisible ghost car.,

Exactly. What they’re probably experiencing is another player going “OMG OMG there’s another player”. And then you AFK to menu and they die inside.

@anonyyymous i fully understand its gonna keep happening people r who they r and will do as they want hoping enough people see this post and start to realize who wants to play and join them and who wants to be left to themselves thats all. and im not saying dont approach people just dont annoy them

What are they exactly doing to you? Are they spamming you constantly or just a few times? If they are spamming you then maybe they should add an ignore player feature if one doesn’t already exist. Or an option to disable messages etc from other players if that’s what you prefer. It’s fairly common in other games to have such options.
I totally understand what the OP is on about. It’s annoying and distracting when you have someone hovering around you. Most of the time it’s no big deal. But when you’re on a task trying to accomplish something it’s totally annoying. If you don’t get a response just leave. You can tell if the other driver is in a drift zone or speed zone.

I’m not normally sitting around in freeroam but I have had people do what the OP has expressed multiple times and now when it happens I just fast travel across the map…far away from them.
