I’ve been playing the series since the first installment. I’ve always loved these games and all the improvements they’ve made over the years however one reoccurring issue that I see when you compare to other open world arcade racers… The lack of traffic density and pedestrians. The lack of traffic that I have seen in the trailers is worrying, especially when you’re taken into the fact of how densely populated Japan is specifically in their cities. I feel like it would be doing Japan dis justice by not accurately representing that crucial detail.
Traffic density should be 100x higher. Badly needed for no-hesi racing and basic immersion. At least introduce a traffic slider for offline and custom lobbies.
A bit less important, but something similar to the old Midtown Madness games would be great for pedestrians. This would bring life to the city while maintaining an E rating.
With a city so big, nothing would be more depressing than another empty Forza Horizon post-apocalypse ghost town…
traffic should feel more realistic and ur right it should be increased by 100x
Yeah I think traffic density in FH6 should be maxed
There should be 3 options for traffic, and thats how you get paired up in likeminded lobbies for the Forza Open world. None, some and Realistic. Tokyo City should be VERY challenging to drive during the day and still somewhat at night. It will kill the immersion factor of Forza 6 if you are driving through Tokyo and only 3-4 Kei Trucks and Subaru Legacies pass by.
there should definetly be street light signals, pedestrian signals, and more real life looking traffic, wait are they also adding cop cars in fh6?
if not, they should realllllllllly add police cars, it’ll make the game look more real & alive. mayeb even a police chase story idk
We need different options for traffic, because the traffic now is horrible, and needs to be more dense and tricky. But being able to change the density would be the best they could do
I think after the latest gameplay, it’s clear there’s a problem. For some, it’ll be small, for others, major. Driving around Tokyo with only one or two vehicles roaming around doesn’t seem like much to me. The game is obviously in development, but miracles aren’t possible two months before release. I wonder, however, if the team has a way to solve the problem. Traffic clearly slows down the game. To avoid this, I wouldn’t mind having traffic streamed in, or low-detail traffic, meaning vehicles with a 360x polygon count. Traffic needs to be dense, regardless of its quality. But Tokyo can’t be seen so bare of cars.
Okay, but why?
Maybe they didn’t want any collision with traffic.
Because usually the people that review games actually tend to be crap at games and would probably have spent 9 minutes crashing into traffic.
Was that not just footage given to ign rather than ign playing the game?
Why do they keep using 90’s cars for traffic? I really hope they expand the traffic “style and year model” of cars. Add more variety
Though I’m not really surprised at the lack of pedestrians or that the traffic AI hasn’t changed, I am nevertheless disappointed, especially with latter. I’m tired of the AI just driving around like mindless drones. I wish they had more realistic reactions to speeding vehicles cutting them off or barreling at them head-on. Heck, horns wouldn’t go amiss either. Neither would car alarms for hitting parked cars.
