My friend and I are having an issue where on keyboard, holding both accelerate and brake will result in only the brake input to be registered. This issue is really frustrating because there’s no way to freely rev the car when launch control is enabled. I use arrow keys and manual shifting, my friend uses WASD and automatic shifting.

Well like I said, I can’t use my handbrake because it activates launch control, I can only rev the car freely when I use brake.

Sorry I completely misread what you meant

Disable LC? Not sure if it’s a bug or just the way the keyboard works

It’s really inconvenient that I have to go to the settings and disable launch control every time I want to rev my car freely. And it’s not just me, my friend’s also having this issue, it’s definitely a bug.

A cursory look online had comments from change kb to try different usb port to fix such an issue

No one really brought this issue up to the developers’ attention, even after two years.

None of the possible solutions had worked neither for me nor my friend, it’s been like this since the first hotfix shortly after the game launched.

It should be possible to rev the car while holding down the handbrake button and pressing the one used to accelerate even if LC is activated. I’ve just checked it and it works perfectly fine.

Holding handbrake and gas works, what I mean is I can’t rev it all the way to redline when LC is on, because I can’t hold gas and brake at the same time.

What are you trying to achive with pressing the gas and brake pedal at the same time? An RWD burnout? If so the only solution is to deactive the LC.

To rev the car freely, and that’s why I’m reporting this issue.

Like I said already. You can rev the car “freely” by pressing the handbrake button instead of the one for the brake. Where is the problem?

This is the problem when I have LC on, and I’m reporting this so I can either rev the car freely by using brake, or use launch control by using handbrake, and not having to toggle LC every time. But yes the only workaround for now is turning on or off LC.
