I’ve had this across most of the Forza games now and it seems worse than ever on Horizon 3.
Sometimes when you press the handbrake, especially when using the clutch the revs immediately drop to 0 then after a second they kick back it, usually making the car spin out because of the sudden surge of power. I was trying to do a bucket list challenge drifting a Maloo last night and this made it near impossible to do. Every time I went E-Drift my revs dropped to 0.
Has anyone else experienced this? I can remember having this problem as far back has Forza Motorsport 3.
When you pull the e-brake you’re locking the rear tires which, when in gear, are essentially directly connected to the engine. Tires locked=engine locked. With clutch enables you need to press the clutch in essentially “freeing” the wheels and the engine.
Same for a real car. You can’t come to a stop in gear
