Kangaroos! and other animals sighted

Noticed them crossing a road during the game play video - what happens if you hit one? Ugh.

Also, co-op new game mode: Kangaroo Herding

Not really sure but if you look close at the Centenario taking off in the gameplay demo you can see some macaws flying away as well so I really hope they have added in animals the make the game more realistic like the crew

Don’t hit the Kangaroos :frowning:

I’m from Australia and sometimes they are pests but for the most part we don’t aim to hit them haha.

Yes, don’t hit Kangaroos or Emu’s!! Instant car wreck.

But especially don’t hit any wombats, those things are like boulders!!

Yeah, Aussie country boy here too! Plenty of road kill on the roads around here. I don’t know why people aren’t more careful because those animals will mash your car. Ouch!

Remember the Horizon 1 trailer showed deer on the road, but they didn’t appear in-game except for one cutscene. Hopefully PG has actually included them this time, but it could be the same as before.

haha I noticed the animals in the trailer and was like wow that’s different. Wonder if they will have a short race around a group of kangaroos and if you wreck them your car will be a flat can and the kangs run away unharmed heh.

There’s also some big cat or dog on the giant tree trunk in the promo pic with the SUVs.

A dingo???

It’s a drop bear, most attacks end up fatal so stay in your car

I want great white sharks leaping in the sea, dammit!

If they made the roos reaslistic they would cause pretty spectacular crashes.

Hundreds of Roos get hit across Australia every day. They’re like hitting deer in North America and Europe.

V8 Supercars vs Kangaroo at Bathurst

If it’s on a tree it could be a big goanna.

If this is the shot Max is talking about then it’s not a goanna - looks more like a cat or a dog as he says:

I zoomed in and it could be a dingo.

If it’s a dingo it’s only a pup. Looks too small to be an adult. Could be a fox.

possum perhaps?

After saving the image and zooming in on it I’m pretty sure it is in fact a dingo. It looks like it was lying down and is in the middle of standing up, which made it look smaller than it actually is.
