Join as Race Engineer (Enhanced Spectator)

Instead of joining online lobbies as spectator, how about the option to join as engineer?

A player would join a lobby and besides the option to spectate the race, they get the option to join as engineer. The player gets the player list and selects which driver he wants to support. (Maybe give the driver the option to confirm both the engineer and the in race calls to prevent forms of trolling?).
This can be a nice form of support for drivers that have a hard time managing everything themselves during the race.

During the race, the engineer gets access to:

• Full live telemtry of the car. (Tires, fuel, damage, etc)
• Live timing. (Lap times, sector times, car ahead, etc)
• Communication with the driver. (Easy prompts (like Forza Link) or full voice chat)
• Pit strategy. (When to pit, tires, fuel, setup changes)
• Live car adjustments. (ABS and TCS levels, brake bias, diff settings, engine mapping (fuel consumption))
• A weather radar. (Please don’t make this 100% accurate, give it some RNG)
• Limited info on other drivers.
• More? (Suggestions are welcome!)

Besides a driver rating, Forza can also add an engineer rating. Giving the driver an insight of how good the engineer is that wants to support them.

I have no idea how rewards would work with this… Suggestions?

Pairs team races

This would involve two players per team per car. Initially the two players decide on who will drive first. That player enters the car and begins driving the track be it practice/qualification/race. The other player remains in the pits with a screen that contains track map with players positions, lap/split times for all players, full telemetry data for their own car and any other potential useful info. So while player 1 is driving on track player 2 can give out key information or instructions…

Thing is, though, is that this is a dedicated multiplayer role, not an AI managing the stuff. Having a live player would be very interesting for long-distance racing, maybe in the esport side of things, too.

This is what I’m aiming for.
Having an AI do it, sure, can be done. Having a friend do it, someone to talk to would be more fun in my eyes. It doesn’t have to be a mandatory position that alsways needs to be filled, more of a nice extra, some support.
Sometimes I don’t want to race myself, but enjoy watching others race. It would be nice to help a friend that is racing with above tools.

Guide someone else and decide what strategy the other player (driver) choose! For team races at both featured multi-player and private lobbies, this can make team work more important!
