Forza 1 until 4 had many japanese tracks like :
-Suzuka
-Tsukuba
-Motegi
or the fantasy track : Fujimi Kaido or Tokyo night ( Forza 1 )
These track was very good , in particulary Suzuka where real racers love to drive as a famous Spa Francorchamps.
Unfortunately, since Forza5 , all japanese tracks are suddenly disapeared with most of the japanese SuperGT cars like this ( many of these cars was in old Forza ) :
So, what’s happened ? Sony made an exclusive deal for that contents appear only on Gran Turismo series from GT6 ? ( in fact , not just only Forza 5 and 6 , other games since GT6 doesnt have official Suzuka etc or Japanese SupeGT cars …
Do you believe that these tracks and cars will make a return on Forza series ?
Do you think that Turn10 are still interested on this contents ?
And you, are you interested on a Super GT DLC content with 10 SuperGT cars and 1 or 2 japanese tracks ?
As for DLC, we’ve never gotten a foreign track in current-gen Forza titles, excluding Nurburgring which we all knew was coming. Im under the impression they just don’t want to waste so much time & money on a DLC so late in the games lifespan.
That’s not true. FM4 tracks were not laser-scanned, whilst all tracks in 5&6 are. If they had all the data, why would Nurburgring have been DLC in FM5 if it was already in 4?
Nurburgring wasn’t a really good build on the Xbox 360 and people care a lot about it looking as good as possible.
But Tsukuba, Suzuka and Motegi? They were good enough.
Forza6 track list is amazing, just starts to get too much US tracks in, some are close to be pointless.
Historically Japanese business doesnt like giving things to foreign business when they have a homebrand. It is the same reason that the J-league (soccer) has never been in EA’s Fifa but has been in Konami’s PES. They charge extreme fees to foreign companies if they sell would even sell the rights in the first place. Also microsoft and Xbox are not well liked there in comparison to Sony. The Play Station 2 outsold the Xbox360 in Japan on a month to month basis all the way to April 2014, they sold more ps2’s that month than xbox 360’s which is astounding. But my understanding is that has to do with why T10 doesnt have Japanese tracks.
i want to know after all this time of us complaining right in their forum do they not have the courtesy to at least tell us why they took out all japanese tracks, maple and the fuji mountain… they continue to ignore the customers, its a good way to lose us as followers… who gets on forza for nascar?! really!?
Who goes on Forza for SuperGT then? Pretty sure their customer base is a 50-50 split between US and Europe, so it makes sense to cater to those. Plus I’ve heard that Honda got pretty stingy with the licensing and Tsukuba now costs twice as much as Le Mans to license, with Le Mans already in 500,000 USD territory for a license it’s not hard to see why T10 wouldn’t want to shell out a million bucks for a small japanese track.
It is business first, nationality second, even with Japanese companies. Though I do admit, Japanese companies do tend to prefer to to business with other Japanese companies first. US companies are really slutty like that. US companies will do buisness with anyone that helps them make thier quarterly metrics.
I think it is all of this. The combination of increased licensing fees, along with the relative high cost of travelling and staying in Japan, likely made T10 decide to spend their monies elsewhere. And, I belive it was money well spent.
I do agree, though, the Super GT’s are great cars, and we need more of them, and puhlease add Suzuka back into the game.
I miss the Japanese tracks to death and all the Japanese race cars. If only GT gets the car and race sounds right, I’d get a PS4 just to enjoy the Japanese tracks and race cars.
I agree bring back the Japanese tracks, I would also like to see more Australian tracks like Phillip island or Albert park. Also tracks like Monaco or the Singapore F1 track would be visually stunning in Forza 6.
We aren’t asking for much and it wouldn’t be that hard for the developers as I’m sure they still have the Japanese track files from older Forza Motorsports’.
I am also disappointed they didn’t brought Japanese tracks and the GT500s into Forza 6 - and GT500 is also an important racing class with worldwide audience.
Also it’s pretty sad they took out so much imaginary tracks out of the FM series. Fujimi Kaido, Positano, New York etc. would look very, very nice on Xbox One
And I would like if they generally added more racing classes into the game - for example German DTM,
Well but it kinda seems that Forza is getting more and more US-based, the NASCAR-pack (which is nice though) and the Virginia Raceway in the Porsche Pack (imo they should have brought another German track like Sachsenring - Porsche is from Stuttgart, Germany not from Virginia) + we have CanAms, Indy Cars, lots and lots of Muscle Cars, instead of the German Golf I GTi we have the uglier Golf Rabbit, the Golf III is US-spec…
