JaCor653: 2015 Chevrolet and Honda IndyCar Press liveries, Five-Pack of Ford NASCAR Liveries

Long overdue due to procrastination and laziness, I have more liveries to share. Honestly, I could have done this a couple weeks ago, but I just never got around to it. Anyway, today I’ve got a trio of Stealth Model-liveried prototypes from three eras of racing.

First up is the 1985 Nissan GTP ZX-Turbo, whose livery I based on that of the 1991 Mazda 787B Stealth Model.

Next up is the 1991 Mazda 787B itself, a high-quality replica of the livery from GT6.

I am aware of the fact that the number panel is backwards in the picture. It is not like that on the livery itself. I fixed after I took the picture.

Finally, we’ve got the 2012 Audi R18 Stealth Model. In GT6, this livery was on an R10 TDI. I would have preferred to use one of the the R8 LMP1s from Forza 6, but at the beginning of August when I made this livery, I discovered that the R8 LMP1s weren’t carried over to Forza 7.

To anyone who is wondering, I have Forza Horizon 4. I only preordered the Deluxe Edition, so I had to wait until yesterday to start playing it. I’ve have some problems getting the game going, and I won’t have much time to play the game until Friday. However, I intend to transfer as many of my paints as I can, create a bunch of new ones, and get my gallery going in FH4 as soon as possible.

Anyway, I’ve got some more liveries to share here in FM7. First of all, this is the 1965 Volkswagen Beetle that can be seen in the background of the Beatles’ famous album “Abbey Road.” The car is technically painted a light orangish chrome color, then almost entirely masked in decals. This makes the car appear as if it is painted Lotus White, which the actual color, but with dull chrome frames for the number plates.

This is the 2019 Ford GT Heritage Edition, with a livery reminiscent of the Gulf-liveried GT40s that dominated at Le Mans in 1968 and 1969. If you look closely at the livery in the game, you’ll notice that I used a subtle carbon fiber base color, with most of the car being masked in light blue.

This is the concept/press livery for the 2016 MX-5 Miata Cup Car. Previously, this livery was done by fellow painter RallyzX360; however, I wanted to create my own version so that I could avoid the masking and have the car painted the proper, stock, color.

Great job on these JaCor! I defer to you on the Mazda, yours is a much better interpretation.

Thanks. If you look closely, I actually made one mistake with this livery. On the rear lower quarter panels, there is supposed to be a red trim stripe that continues from the rear bumper. I forgot to make it continue forwards to the rear wheel arches. It’s nearly unnoticeable, and I think I’ll leave it the way it is in FM7, but I fixed it in FH4. Also in FH4, I might release variations of the livery in different colors. I scrolled through the special colors list, and “colors” such as matte carbon kevlar, semigloss brass, and medium wood look cool as the base color.

Some pretty nice stuff in here with a lot of clean logo work. I dig the Gran Turismo spec cars!

Thanks. I’ve beeg playing GT since 2013, and despite its flaws, it’s got some great fictional race cars.

After a long while, I am back. I wanted to hold off on sharing new liveries in Forza 7 until I got all of my transfers to Horizon 4 finished up. Now that I’ve done that, I will start sharing new liveries in both Forza 7 and Horizon 4.

Here’s what I’ve got to start off with:

This is the 2019 Ford Mustang NASCAR that Joey Logano famously drifted around the Charlotte roval course with Vaugh GIttin Jr.

Great stuff! The drift NASCAR Mustang looks great. Just so you know, Joey and Vaughn actually drifted that at Charlotte Motor Speedway’s new “Roval” road course, not at Homestead. I really love all your work, please keep it coming!

What I’ve got today is the June 2017 Forza Motorsport Hot Wheels series. The series was released to celebrate the Hot Wheels Expansion for Forza Horizon 3. The first car in the series is the rare “chase car,” a 2012 Ford Falcon V8 Supercar with a nice Xbox livery.

After a long break from posting here, I am back with several Indy 500 pace car liveries. Here they are:

This is the 1969 Indy 500 pace car, a Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS convertible. Surprisingly, this livery was the most difficult to make of the pace car liveries I made this year. It may not look like it, but the decals on the side were kind of a pain to make. On top of that, the game froze up when I was about 2/3 of the way done; I basically had to start from scratch.

This is the 1978 Indy 500 pace car, a late third-generation Corvette built to commemorate the sports car’s 25th anniversary. I really like this livery. I can also say, without a doubt, that this is the best version of this livery that exists in Forza 7. It is not 100% perfect—I had to change the hood pinstriping because this a different model of Corvette that the real one—but it is still way better than any other version of this livery you’ll find.

This is a re-release of the same livery I made last year at this time, the 2018 Indy 500 pace car Corvette ZR1, but now on almost the right car. I wish Turn 10 would have given us the regular Corvette ZR1 instead of this fictional pace car version.

This is the 2019 Corvette Grand Sport, official pace car for the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500 . . . on a Z06. It looks quite similar, thought, because the GS has the same aero kit as the Z06. Supposedly, this year’s Indy 500 logo is to be a benchmark for all future Indy 500 logos.

Just wanted to say I really enjoy using your designs including the recent Indy 500 pace car designs; they are some high quality stuff. Are you planning on making more pace car designs from Indy or even other races such as the Daytona 500?

Thank you! I try yo put as much effort into my designs as possible. I’ve got a couple more Indy pace cars planned, and I might look into some NASCAR ones.

Great! look forward to what you’ll do next.

Well, procrastination strikes again. I could have done this a month ago, but I’ve been lazy. Anyway, here it is.

This is the 1982 Camaro Z28, which paced the 66th Indy 500. I’ve had a fondness for this livery ever since Forza 6, and now, I’ve gotten around to making it myself.

This is the press livery for Chevrolet’s aero kit for the Dallara DW12 IndyCar. As far as I can tell, this livery was never shown off on track; rather, it was only seen at press events. This is unlike the 2018 IndyCar press liveries.

This is Honda’s press livery for the 2015 IndyCar season. Like with the Chevy, it was only seen at press events. There are some mapping issues on the front wing due to overlapping surfaces. It looks bad, but there is nothing I can do to avoid or to correct it.

Lastly, I would like to mention to Big red 293 that I will unfortunately not be making any NASCAR pace car liveries. I did not find any that peaked my interest. Sorry about that.

No problem, I’ll continue to enjoy your designs anyways. Quick question, are you planning on putting the Chevrolet and Honda test liveries that you made on the 2017 Indycars to the new 2019 Indycars that feature those liveries in real life during testing?

I’ve got the Chevrolet almost done. That’s the easier of the two. The new cars feature some funky surface overlapping issues on the sides that makes it hard to line this up properly without extra, unwanted decal overlapping. I’ll see about the Honda.

Today, I have five Ford NASCAR liveries to share.

This is a revised version of the 2013 press livery for the Ford Fusion NASCAR, which may sound familiar. This was the fourth livery I ever shared in Forza 7. I was looking back at it a few weeks ago, and I decided that it needed an update. This is now a 99% replica of the real car.

This is a fictional 2014 Brian Keselowski NASCAR livery posed by u/kidryano on r/NASCAR on December 15th, 2013. It is a joke livery that has the usual sponsor locations replaced with labels of the body panels they are on. It took me quite a while to finish this livery. I found the picture of February of 2017. I started the livery in-game in July of 2018. Now, in July of 2019, I have finished it.
