JaCor653: 2015 Chevrolet and Honda IndyCar Press liveries, Five-Pack of Ford NASCAR Liveries

This, the 2018 Corvette ZR1 Indy 500 pace car, was another livery I had planned to create and release for the Indy 500 last Sunday. Like I said for the 2018 IndyCars, I just never had the time. Luckily though, I have had the time these past few days.

Also, this is one of the several “liveries” from when Chevrolet was testing the C7 ZR1 prototype. This was actually one of the first liveries that I made in FH3, back in November of 2016. Here is the version that I made back then:

However, this is the updated version of the livery, which shows my higher attention to detail and ability in the paint booth.

This is the 2003 Palmer Jaguar JP1, a track-focused, lightweight sports car that, visually, is quite similar to the Radical SR8, and performance wise, is a step beneath it.

Also, this is a livery inspired by the one on Jaguar’s new I-Pace eTrophy racing crossover. However, the F-Pace version features changed text and branding to reflect that is gas-powered, not electric.

This is Toyota’s press livery for the 2018 version of its Camry NASCAR race car. Initially, I made this design in Forza 6 like a year ago, using the 2016-spec NASCAR. I remember saying, back then, that I couldn’t make a Kentucky license plate, so I used someone’s Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series logo in its place. I kind of knew what I was getting into–the Kentucky plate, with text, was almost 750 layers of decals.

Super clean designs, really like all the press release cars!

Thanks to both of you. I think these two liveries look amazing. This is Honda’s version of the NSX GT3, which seems enormously unnecessary when Acura already has one that’s nearly identical.

Also, this is Audi’s press livery for its TCR-spec RS 3 LMS, presented in both original the press release livery and special version that commemorates 100 such cars having been built. If the new liveries I’m presenting today seem like a step back in terms of complexity and layer numbers, it’s because these are some of the original liveries I planned to make when I started this forum thread.

Wow wee woo wa, that fictional Toyota livery is ace! Love the throwback colour scheme.

It’s not fictional, it’s fictionalized. Toyota used its retro colors for the 2013 Camry NASCAR, but I added the black roof from the new version, along with some changed numbering.

If anyone wants to know why I’ve been gone from the forum for so long, it’s because I’ve been playing The Crew 2 a lot. However, I have still played Forza for some time, and I’ve got some liveries to release. The first is a The Crew 2 “touring car” livery for the Bentley Continental GT3, inspired by some of the race cars in TC2. Also, I’ve finished the quartet of Toyota Camry SEMA customs. I revamped Denny Hamilin’s and Kyle Busch’s, and I’ve made Daniel Suárez’s and Martin Truex Jr.'s.

Thanks! I’m surprised you’re still checking the forums.

I check often actually - been keeping track of what’s been happening… and honestly like the new directions taken by the design team to unlock all cars, eventual elimination of loot boxes, redefining track limits, etc. - as well as the new rules & themes for the livery contests. Seems to me a lot of this “new direction” is about getting back all those, who like me, stopped playing F7… and I have been considering it (even did a rival event - so you never know… maybe I’ll get back into it sooner rather than later).

BTW: Your new designs since my last visit are lookin good! - ur getin better by the day my friend

RB

Yeah, I was personally excited when I found out all of the cars would be unlocked, and I am looking forward myself to the other improvements to the game. Thanks. I always try to put out decent content.

Inspired by Ford’s official heritage liveries for the GT, and by fellow Forza Painter RallyzX360’s work, this is my own heritage livery. This particular livery is inspired by the #12 Ford GT40, which unfortunalely retired early due to engine troubles in the 3rd hour.

This is the special Stealth Model version of the SLS AMG, as seen in GT5 and GT6. After this, I have just two more Stealth Model cars left to recreate. This marks the first Stealth Model to feature the Polyphony Digital-sponsored number boards that the actual cars in GT use. Before now, I was using the standard number board from GT Sport. I don’t know exactly why, looking back. I guess I thought they looked cooler.

Also up for release today is BMW’s press livery for the M4 GT4, a paint job which I think looks amazing. A while back, I planned to recreate BMW’s full modern lineup of race car press liveries, from the M235i Racing to the M8 GTE, but those plans got set aside, and I eventually stopped work on them. However, I might do the press livery for the 125i BTCC car.

This is Mazda’s test livery for the 787B, prepared by Mazdaspeed. As a word of warning, anyone who want to paint on the 787B should avoid the #18 car. I initially started this livery on the #18, but it has areas on either side of the cockpit that are completely un-decalable. The #55 is the way to go, and it also costs 50,000 credits less than the #18.

If anyone wants to know why I’ve been absent for the past three weeks, it’s because of a couple of things. First of all, I’ve started college now, and even though I’ve had plenty of time to play Forza, I really haven’t played it that much. This is because The Crew 2 has called my attention more lately than Forza has. I got The Crew 2 back in June when it came out, and I’ve played it a lot since then, but I’ve found it especially enjoyable in the past few weeks.

Also, I’m having some problems with Forza 7. Things just aren’t functioning they way the should. When I load up the game, messages, if they even arrive, take a long time to appear. Usually, they won’t come in for a few days, and then suddenly I’ll have like 20 messages. Sometimes, my #Forzathon rewards won’t come in. I’ve had issues with #Forzathon being offline, and the Forza Motorsport servers being down. I’ve also got this issue where I can’t share my liveries. I’ve got four liveries that I need to share, but I can’t. I can rename them, and in the sharing menu, I can add a description. The problem is that the game won’t let me add keywords, which of course are required to share a livery.

I’ll keep working on designs, and if I can share them, I will, but these problems are all very frustrating and annoying. I might just have to wait until Forza Horizon 4 comes out to share more liveries.
