Hello and welcome to the Forza Horizon 4 edition of my livery gallery. To anyone who is new, I have been playing Forza games since 2016, and my first public paint job was in Forza Horizon 3. Initially, I will just be adding liveries from Forza 7, but eventually, I will be adding new content. To maintain coherence and to show the progression of my painting skills, I will be releasing these paints in the same order I did in Forza 7.

PRIVATE SHOWCASE LIVERIES

These are miscellaneous liveries which I am keeping private for myself. Most of them are very simple, with few if any actual decals. Most of them are replicas of cars I’ve seen or picture of cars from car books. However, some are more complex. For example, I took my 2016 Mazda MX-5 Global Cup Car Concept livery from FM7 and applied it to a 1994 NA Miata. I’ve also got a Dodge Charger Hellcat livery in the works that has more than a few layers of decals.

Pretty nice stuff, simple and fit for Horizon. You might want to use gradients for the side scoop on Homer’s Cuda to add depth. The private liveries of yours aren’t anything too crazy so if you want to keep them for yourself I’m sure others will find rather similar designs on the storefront.

Actually, this is the image I used to trace the outline of the what-appears-to-be-fake air scoop. The design is more cartoony in style, and the picture is from an earlier episode of The Simpsons, so it shouldn’t look realistic. That’s just my opinion.

The new cars are looking good, good job with the latest batch, the Gran Turismo F40 is my favorite!

I’ve added 5 more transferred liveries from Forza Motorsport 7. I would do this more quickly, but I unknowingly made several liveries that are on very expensive cars. I have to keep saving up money so that I can buy all of the cars.

I’m liking the Gran Turismo NSX. You might want to put the new cars in the post you mention them in though. It took me some time and headscratching to try and remember what you had painted before and what I should be looking out for as new.

Liking the latest batch of designs my man. Particularly digging the Gran Turismo cars, always loved that livery and it’s the game that got me into racing.

Yeah, Gran Turismo 5 was the game that got me into circuit-based racing games. Before then, the only racing games I played were Need for Speed games. I played GT6 nearly nonstop from December 2013 to October 2016, so I hold that game in high esteem.

What I’ve got today is fourteen showcase liveries, ranging from replicas of cars I’ve seen at dealerships to replicas of manufacturer paint colors and more.

A replica of a Dodge Charger Hellcat I saw at a nearby car dealership which had carbon fiber stripes and yellow accents on the front bumper. This wasn’t just a stripe job; I went the extra mile and replicated the actual dealer plate that the car had:

This is the South African-based company Superformance’s replica of the MkII Ford GT40. It’s odd, though becasue the Superformance version looks like it’s more of a replica of the MkI than the MkII.

This is a replica of the 1954 Citroën 2CV that appears in Gran Turismo 4, 5, and 6. It features the same paint color, Gris Bleu, the stock license plate with the 1950s Citroën logo, and the blacked-out windows to reflect that the Gran Turismo car lacks an interior. This is the 1965 Chevrolet Mako Shark II concept, a precursor to the C3-generation Corvette which was introduced in 1968.

This is Mercedes-AMG’s Green Hell Magno, from the 2017 AMG GT R. I know this color is already on the car in the game, but the game’s version of the color looks awful. In the game, this color is represented as some kind of matte metallic or two-tone matte color, when in real life, the color is gloss metallic and much brighter. Its values are:

This is Ford’s Redfire Clearcoat Metallic, the color of my 2008 Ford Escape in real life. It’s a pretty good looking red that looks non-metallic when the sun isn’t hitting it, and very metallic when the sun is hitting it. It’s a metallic color with values of:

1954 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 Two-Tone Green by JaCor653, on Flickr
This is a replica of a 1954 Oldsmobile Rocket 88 in a two-tone green livery. There is one like this at a nearby Ford Dealership, so I though it would be cool to replicate it in-game. I used the 1955 Chevy 150 Sedan. If you look closely, you’ll notice that I actually painted this car chrome, and everything else is masking. This was done to capture the chrome trim that the real car has.

This is a 2009 Nissan 370Z that a guy who works at a local car dealership, the same one where I saw the Dodge Hellcat at the top of this post. The “Z” side stripes make this car unique.

Some nice new additions! Loving the Kimberly plate on the Hellcat and the Rocket 88 Olds style Chevy is dope. Very creative use of chrome!!!

Many thanks for Green Hell Magno and Bullitt Green! The regular Mercedes green in the game is completely wrong, sadly. :frowning:

Were you able to build other MSO colors like Amethyst, Pacific Blue, etc.? The McLaren P1 is in dire need of more options.

I agree. They got Green Gell Magno right in FH3. I don’t know why they didn’t just transfer that to FM7 and the FH4. I could take a look at some more MSO colors.
