It's just me or the custom liveries cause massive shuttering?

I’ve done some single player race since I got the need to exp a couple of car of my taste and I turn off the option to let the driveavatar using custom liveries: I got almost no shuttering at all even on poor optimized track like Suzuka and SPA. It’s just me or some liveries cause a lot of troble to the game? If that the case T10 should consider the option to disable player made liveries and investigate the problem.

It’s an option on the settings

You can turn liveries off in settings. I don’t know if livery quality can be changed on console. If the quality can be ajusted, turn them down to high or medium. The liveries are a resource hog in this game.

It’s worth doing. Just turned mine down from ultra to high and the frame rate becomes stable. Shame it was fine before the last update.

You can turn them off in settings on XSX but doesnt seem to do anything.lol

It might still be loading them in, just not showing them?

No,still showing them even with the option turned off.

Yeah I’ve turned off drivatar liveries too, but the game remains Forza Stuttersport for me on PC with a 3080 at 1440p regardless of all the different combinations of graphics settings I’ve tried.

Even most of the videos I see online from players on both Xbox & PC look noticeably less smooth than videos of other games like Gran Turismo.

It kinda looks to me like maybe the game renders slower than 60 FPS but perhaps uses some kind of rough framerate-boosting upscaling to (fake) 60 FPS, resulting in choppy-looking motion with stuttering as a common side-effect.

Did you check if the game eat more than your avaible video memory?

It only uses about half of my 3080’s 12GB.

Odd. Have the same GPU and resolution and am getting solid 60fps with everything on max other than liveries which I’ve dropped to high and DLSS turned off.

Rest of setup is i5 9600k (stock) and 32gb ram.

Have you tried different gpu drivers?

I also have DLSS off & ray tracing off.
i5-12600K CPU & 32 GB DDR5 RAM, no overclocking.
Just today I updated to version 551.52 the Nvidia GeForce driver (released Feb. 13) and that seemed to help - I still get some stuttering, but noticeably less than before. :+1:

Odd especially as I have RR on.

I have liveries on but have turned them down to high. As others have said seems turning liveries to off does nothing. It was choppy on mine until I dropped the liveries to high from ultra.
