Italian Automotive update (Series 24) | Forza Monthly livestream August 11

Ok, can somebody give me a list of the playlist exclusives and what you have to do to get them?

And can somebody give me a recap since I didn’t watch the sesame street Forza people on the stream?

One thing that really amazes me….is when developers really step up their game when one of their competitors release a rip-of……ahem….new “fest”-ival game.

The return of these manufacturers is basically an arrow shot to those other guys….lol. Good timing on that.

Blog post. Look up…

it wasn’t really like sesame street this month. I saw a lot more restraint than the usual laugh to everything and anything

The Playlist cars are all 20/40pts rewards in their respective season.

Yeah, probably a few de-tunes in there. For me, it still might mean I highly effective CC build or even rally expansion build. Not too concerned but definitely agree with you. At least we have the option to de-tune.

I remember a certain time where you couldn’t de-tune nor tune any issues out.

I finally got that HW firebird to behave to the point where it became a decent CC/dirt sprint build. Not the fastest but also above the middle of the pack.

Okay, so the blog post is out already. Nice.

Ah, even better. Credit where credit is due

Edit: what a beautiful car pack. Although, I am surprised at the absence of the new Countach….wondering if a sneaky exclusive license has snuck in from a competitor.

Time for the “credit where credit is due” & a big thanks to the team & devs for hearing the player base & responding accordingly.

Didn’t watch any of the stream & just now checked here with anticipation of being disappointed once again on how this was going to unfold; very happy to have been proven wrong. I’m sure the timing was planned, as others have eluded to, but still a great result for those of us with the FH addiction.

Here’s hoping this trend will fall into the weekly playlist with some new tracks/events/etc.

Guess we are on the same page  (Didn’t see this until after I posted mine)

Agreed, I think they actually executed it pretty well. I was going into this thinking I would expect nothing and still be disappointed, but they actually did a good job. Car pack with new Italian cars for those who want it, majority of recycled cars in the AS, the rest in the playlist. Not bad. Not bad at all.

I didn’t see anything about the Fulvia, is it coming back?

Well, heh….we post the exact same rivals times on more than one occasion….so not surprised. :grinning:

Oh, and I downloaded another one of your paints for the HW firebird…(at least I think it was the firebird). Your paints typically show up first on my list. Good stuff my friend. Still helping you out. Usually it’s for a online drift build.

I didn’t know they were going to increase the garage and tune/livery limits. I would have been happy with 1200 or perhaps 1500 cars. But they doubled everything! Very generous and awesome work!

It would be funny to see who hits the garage limit first :stuck_out_tongue:

Don’t worry mate, I’ll just buy 1300 Lancia Delta Integrales.

Thanks, much appreciated & glad you liked it!

Odd that there is no Fulvia considering it was in a pre-release version of the game, and I’m not exactly thrilled about some of the returning cars being playlist exclusive, but I do understand that there needs to be a return on the obviously (to some of us at least) great amount of effort required to license, update, and patch these cars into the game. Overall this is a very good update.

I get that updating the Garage mid-game is a difficult task fraught with potential issues, but it does beg the question: Why wasn’t this done between 4 and 5? I get the feeling that I already know the answer, and it starts with an M and ends with an ike Brown. Edit: I should add that getting this at all is amazing. It wasn’t my number one wish, but I definitely would have listed it under “high priority”.

I’m very cautious and wary of EventLab 2.0. The EventLab gets too much attention as is, and most of it has been not the attention it needs. Eventlab has always had huge untapped potential for endgame, but so far it’s been a quagmire of bloated attention and little actual fun for the end users. Heralding something like EventLab 2.0 could mean the solution to all of it’s issues and more, but I hope people understand my trepidation, especially given PGG’s recent history of completely and utterly losing the plot when it comes to designing, implementing, and supporting game modes or the fundamental needs of this game. Heck EventLab 2.0 could even include the Custom Championships (or equivalent) that I’ve been banging the drum about for years now as a part of it’s features. I’ve just been burned too often to have hope right now.

I am however, even more hopeful than I was last month that we’re at or near the end of Mike Brown’s influence on the franchise and more updates like this are on the way. Not exactly like this, the Italian Automotive update is obviously extremely exceptional in terms of car additions, but in a similar spirit of actively pushing the game forward with things it actually needs.

Source?

Remember those pre-release videos where they should us IRL footage of cars running up and down a runway so the developers could record new engine sounds? A Fulvia was among the vehicles shown.

Around the 4 minute mark.
