These issues really need to be addressed, either in this game or the next.
#1 Decals/Vinyls should be smoothed
Currently if you spin a vinyl or if you move it to an area on the car that has a lot of geometry/very curvy the edges of it will become very pixely.
-Solution : Vinyl edges should be smoothed out or have an option to do so.
#2 Manufacturer Designs
On most cars that have manufacturer designs, those designs will go away when changing the color of any part of the car or adding decals ( ex. the Zonda Cinques carbon top, red stripe, and carbon front lights go away when painting the car ), while a few have manufacturer designs stay on the car no matter what ( ex. Huayra BC has a large carbon top that won’t go away and can’t be painted over )
-Solution : Have an option to keep manufacturer designs no matter what, and by default these designs go away
Bonus to the solution : Have an option to change the color on specific parts of the design ( ex. change color of the red stripe on the cinque without affecting everything else )
#3 Un-Paintable Parts on cars
Some cars have parts that you can’t paint over ( ex. gen 1 R8 has a grey strip on the back that you can’t paint )
#4 parts on the car that don’t have a section in the paint booth to paint over when they should
Certain areas on the car don’t have their own location in the paint booth (trunks and more). We shouldn’t have to resort to decals
-Solution to 3 and 4: Add more options to the paint store, and personalize them to each car. The ability to paint fenders, trunks, pillars, bumpers, skirts, doors ( along with the pre existing hoods, spoilers, window tint, wheels, and mirrors ) should be standard on every car and cars with extra pieces ( ex. that grey strip on the back of the gen 1 r8 ) or multi - piece parts ( Aventador Sv and its rear bumper with differently colored pieces ) should be added to the paint booth.
#5 overlapping vinyls
Some cars with a lot of geometry have certain areas where your vinyl will overlap ( that is, the vinyl is in two different areas ). A good example of this is on the fxxk, if you try to add decals on just the front bumper the decal will overlap and also be on the side of the front. It’s impossible to paint just the front bumper without leaving some parts un - painted.
-Solution : fix the coordinate system. It feels slapped onto every car as opposed to shaped and sculpted to fit each car perfectly.
