I am just wondering, is there anywhere I can buy a a Microsoft Anywhere copy of the game at a discounted rate? I tend to wait a while until games are reduced in price before buying them as I am from a poorer country. However it is my understanding that a boxed version for Xbox will not work on PC? As boxed versions are down at €35 in my local stores, however on Windows store on my windows 10 PC price is still at €70 like it was on release. Is their any other retailers which sell a Microsoft anywhere copy of the game at lower price, paying €70 for a game that has been out 8 months is crazy.
Unfortunately the Microsoft store is not Steam. You don’t see really crazy deals all the time and the main price does not really come down. Wait for a moderate sale I guess… Even Forza Horizon 2 is still up for $50 and you have to wait for a sale to get it at a decent price. I bought my copy used for Xbox One and it saved quite a bit, but PC players don’t have that option. Just as a heads up. Being from a poor country you will also need a strong PC to run this game. Requirements are higher than Apex and for some reason PC equivalent games that run on XB1 need higher system requirements to run on PC smoothly. Playing these games on Xbox is cheaper in the long run.
That really is a pain. Thanks for the warning about computer spec, I have a pretty good rig, Not a top of the line rig but meets minimum system requirements. It is more the principle of paying €70 for forza on PC when I can buy it for console for half as much, usually PC game prices are the opposite which offsets the higher price of the system. I love the Forza series as I have played older ones on 360 but considering I can buy Asseto Corsa for under €25 and Project Cars for under €10 now I really can’t justify buying Forza.
I will keep an eye for sales but it seems like microsoft is having a joke a little with pricing.

If you’re patient then there are sometimes sales on the Microsoft store. I got the standard edition of the game in the ‘Black Friday’ sales for something like 35-40 Euros.
For what it’s worth, I agree that 70 Euros as a price is an absolute joke, not because the product doesn’t justify it, but simply compared with the USD and GBP prices which are significantly lower.
Check amazon. Time to time it has been discounted there (even the Ultimate edition, but remember that you still have to buy the Expansions pass, if you want the expansions).
