I just finished a race in A class event at Road America: I quafilied 3rd with my Ford Mustang Gt 2018 and I got a Lotus Emira and Ford Falcon '92 ahead, two very fast car for a fast track. The Exocet was in the middle of the pack after qualify but as the race start that car was on another level. It was simply too fast even of the long straight of Road America. How can that car be so fast in pure speed? It’s there some kind of bug?
Isn’t Exocet Rivals leaderboard #1 on some tracks? A class maybe? So yes it’s pretty quick.
It’s a lame car thats broken you can put the Honda k20 swap in it it’s everywhere for b and a class rival it’s even more lame then people who use the Mazda go kart in lobby’s
That’s explain how it could destrony my Mustang GT 2018 and any other cars in a very long straight. Asking for a ban of overpowered car in multiplayer lobby is too much I guess.
Exocet have rly low top speed, but good handling and acceleration, that’s why its meta on handling tracks same with formula mazda.
But it should not keep up with u on straights, I once had grip meta Miata in d class vs me in some power focused bulid, and on straight I was clearly catching up to Miata, but once I was head to head, Miata suddenly gained more speed than me, and overtook me back on same straight, it was visible that he “jumped” forward, typical speed boost hack, so yeah there are cheats somewhere for this game, or maybe some kind of speed exploit
Yes, top speed is 200kmh in B and about 210kmh in A.
It makes its time through cornering grip and initial acceleration, essentially a momentum car similar to an MX-5.
On most circuits it should struggle at the end of straights, but with a quick driver can make all that up in the corners. A good corner exit will also have an advantage on the straight until a car hits VMAX.
If a build is doing higher top speed than that its probably on Sport Tyres as there isn’t a lot of PI left to play with after engine swap and handling upgrades.
It was a lot faster of my Mustang GT and the Ford Falcon '92 who can both go fastest of 210kmh. Road America is a very fast track but that Exocet was not losing timee even on straight.
I mean if “speed” bulid goes max 210, then it’s just bad tune lol lower your downforce, or throw it out completely, on road america A class, sport tyres tunes are quite good, with low downforce setup.
I usually drive lower grip tunes anyway, and in race with decent non meta car u can easily got around 2.17 in a class
Guess you got me wrong: I was repply to PJ who said that the Exocet can top speed 210km/h in A class build. My Mustang GT can go a lot fastest and that’s why I could not understood why that car give me the sh*t even on the straight.
sounds like a speed hack to me, i’ve run into them before. i briefly gave d class a try last week and ran into a very obvious speed hacked miata, he ran a 47 in qualifying at maple short and then was running literally faster than world record laps in the race, entirely due to going lightning fast on the straight.
in fact, op, can you message me their gamertag? i could tell you for certain if it’s a speed hack if it turns out to be the same player.
Because it (and the Formula Mazda) carry so much speed through the turns. Due to their good low speed acceleration and general low aero drag it takes ages for more powerful/heavier cars on sport tires to counter the corner exit speed disadvantage, catch up to the Exocet\Formula Mazda and then get a lead on them.
The unrealistically strong slipstream helps those low power cars well.
I battled yesterday on Road America against a Formula Mazda in my stock tires, full weight reduction Diablo and it took me nearly half the straights to pass it although we were car to car going into the turns.
In the end I only won because I forced him to overtake me on the outside, he got 0.40 off track penalty and I closed the 0.9 seconds to 0.2 up to the line.
He still had a 0.4 seconds faster lap.
Normally I should be running circles around such cars on Road America in a no aero ultra power/weight Diablo. Balancing in FM7 was better.
Just saying whatever u do unless u drive on le mans or road america short layout, don’t ever use stock tyres, these are totally pi inefficient, slapping street tyres would make your car lot faster, same for stock suspension, it’s bad.
the meta is broken in every class on this game, like [RP_Chronic] said its lame and broken
speed doesnt work and its all about handling in this game
speed difference isnt there .not many people see this problem only people who build non meta cars see this problem aswell , to bad most people here on the forum use the lame boring broken meta
like you in your mustang gt and a another guy i saw made a power build mazda mx5 and still had the same speed on the straight as the handling build mx5
i 2 never use meta cars cause its lame and boring. only in forza 's pre fm7 this worked fine you could win with non meta cars even fm3.thats why i had 300+ A class builds in fm6 cause i could win with most off them and easily top 3
but this game is all about handling and power does nothing, thats why your mustang does nothing agianst the exocet.
and thats why i dont play forza anymore, its lost its forza magic after fm6 of driving any build any car agianst anything (with 4 wheels) and be competitive . fm7 i only played for 1-2 months and went back to fm6 like many others.
i have 4 cil mustang 90’’ with 470hp and 3.7 handling and raced it at hakone full (with the big straight at the back) and was just about possible to pass a formula mazda with 180hp on the straight.
like how ? but then at the corners he is twice the speed . really balanced…
this shouldnt happen otherwise whats the point of division class racing if its only 15 go karts with F1 who win everything? so 200+ cars are garbage, useless
if the formula ford ecoboost is coming back from fm4 then thats gonna be n1 agian its just about whats the next go kart in the leaderboard.
Just some examples that u don’t need grip to have fun
On hakone, BMW guy spun Miata straight into me mid corner hence penalty xd
Or I once won kyalami in mb c63 on sport tyres, vs exotractor, cuz I was too fast on straight and too fat to overtake/ram xd
this is an actual big issue.
i did a couple a class races yesterday and had one on hakone where i qualified pole in an 87 gtr, second was a 97 m3 and third was a formula mazda. in qualifying i was on track in the same area as the mazda and absolutely walked him on the straight, but in the race once he tucked in behind me he was able to hang with me and i eventually slipped up and he got past.
i did eventually get back past him and once i was far enough ahead where he got no draft, i pulled way away from him on the straight, and he eventually was passed by the m3 as well, but i’d estimate that he was topping out at 140mph in qualifying with no draft but was hanging with me all the way up to 160mph in my draft. it’s pretty nuts how huge a difference it makes and it sure is not anything close to realistic.
that said, the three of us had a crazy race, it was really close most of the way through and everyone drove clean. i even saved the replay, if they ever fix them (assuming that fix is retroactive to previously saved replays).
can i have you lobbies then ? and you mine ?
this is the lobbies i get and look how much sense it mkaes
road america (power track) my Camaro 9.0 liter V8 MOTOR!! 600hp+ hp and a 180hp formula mazda is 0,4 sec faster with 180hp like how ! road america is always been a power track … in fm23 it seems like not…
like and people still say its balanced
do you know how to upload video’s on here ? i uploaded some from iphone to pc ( the gold days fm6)
Yeah I also seen one grip tune Miata going faster than power bulids on straight and beating world record on Yas marina in d class, while using medium tyres, tho I don’t rly remember his nick, and since he was sus in practice (he did beat wr there too xd) I just rammed him every time I saw him catching up
Rly bad lap time there lol, with sport tyre no aero countach I did like 2:17, same with sport tyre no aero Daytona (well this car is broken)
U are just slow lol
lol a countach is in the basics already a good car with high handling. how much handling does that car have?
my Camaro only 3.4-3.5 something you propably never ride.
lets see if i have some fm6 leaderboard photos laying around with top 25 off the world.
wait here .and show u how slow i am
or do you know how to upload a video ? i show you what a slow overtakes i amke and how OP cars i drive
For normal stock tires, yes. But in Forza stock tires can have countless g values. The Diablo has “Retro Supercar” stock compound which is in balance with street tires.
F40, Countach, 959 and so have it too.
Tested both Diablos (stock tires, full weight reduction) & (street tires, full weight reduction, 1st balast) and they are equal on Suzuka.
