Is It Worth It?

These cars are additional to purchase, not gifted for being an LCE Owner. The top 5 (RS3, Vanquish, Shelby Mustang, P1, Viper) all have an exclusive FM5 paint and is tuned when purchased in-game, the next 5 (Cobra, CTR Yellowbird, 787B, Raptor and Veyron SS) are all standard and are untuned/painted upon in-game purchase.
The last 3 on the other hand (TT-RS, Focus ST, Gallardo) are DAY ONE edition. These are part of the launch bonuses, so you may not have these when purchased with an LCE Copy (Dont take my word on this though, i’m a day one owner.) But, if you do, then they will also be pre-tuned and Painted.

Hope this helps

I bought Forza 5 on release day, just like I did the previous 4. I figured that the lack of cars and tracks wouldn’t bother me that much, or that the better physics and graphics would override those deficiencies. I had a great time with the F1 cars (past and present) for a while, but I think I actually last played the game in January.

Been playing a lot of Forza 4 again lately. In hindsight, I would never have bought the Xbox One, Forza 5, VIP, or the Car Pass. I continually check back here hoping to see some sort of news that will make me change my mind on that, but I end up disappointed time after time. I’ll check back in around the first week of April, I’m sure, and I’ll be disappointed in whatever car pack I paid for in advance at that point, too.

I think it wouldn’t be so bad if any kind of criticism wasn’t met with absolute indignance and immediately dismissed as someone having some sort of unrealistic expectations as far as their disappointment in the fact that Forza 5 shipped with fewer cars and tracks than even the original Forza Motorsport.

But, half of the community will make excuses for why this is okay, and the other half will complain while no one listens.

Get it if you really want buddy but bear in mind that there is a small possiblity that the game may crash on occasion, its full of bugs & if you get really “unlucky” like me you will lose all your profile, all your paintjobs & layer groups if you create that sort of thing & then cant even start a new profile leaving you with a £50 duckegg (& a £300 peripheral you cant use if you get the TX wheel for that full “next gen” experience)
It’s ok when it works but when something like this happens, which is a 1st apparently & the worst experience i’ve ever had with any game on any console ever, its a complete & utter joke, as is the so called help i’m supposed to getting in solving this ridiculous problem…nearly 2 weeks now & i still cant access the game in any way shape or form & its seems XBox support has given up & left me to it.

So there you go, an honest review of the current game from someone who loves the franchise, has been here since 2006, spent a ridiculous amount of time down the years contributing countless paintjobs & media to spread the word of Forza as far as i could…let down by a dodgy console that cant handle all the gubbins within that its supposed to cope with & a multi billion dollar organisation that in all reality doesn’t give a rats backside about its customers as long as they keep throwing money as them. I now have to go through the process of trying to get my money back for all of this which will no doubt involve a lot of shouting matches & disagreements on whose responsible for what, not something i’d planned for when i got the damn thing & certainly not the experience i was expecting from it.

Next gen, where did all the fun go?

IMO the XBOX ONE is not ready.

If you have the money and don’t mind being an early adopter, go ahead. It’s probably good to get used accustomed to it, and iron out the details.
But honestly more and more, I get home, that XBOX does not get turned on at all. Forza just feels not as inviting even though the driving is excellent, there is something I can’t put my finger on as to why I don’t get home and need to play everyday.

It’s kinda one note, it’s not mature yet. I wanted a next gen experience, playing this feels like the old XBOX, for which I had already grown tired of. Some of the features are okay, but I already have a nice dedicated purpose built computer/TV/entertainment which I will always prefer to use, so there’s a lot of redundancy that needs to be configured to cater to me in more meaningful ways.

The games will probably be better in all their V2 iterations, I’m sure FM6 will be gold standard like FM2 was, I mean these games are like pre-season football, sure I miss football, and wanted to see a game finally, but it’s still preseason, I certainly aint watchin them all, and I aint watching those games for anything real. When the real season comes, I’m sure I’ll be into it.
