Which one works better?
I’m not a drifter by any means but I’d say RWD is best for drifting.
For sure rwd. Awd is possible but rwd crushes it in terms of drifting
Cool keep them coming
If you wanted to be hated on from the drift community go AWD. But if you want to learn good car control go RWD
Yay, it’s this thread again.
In all honesty, I’d suggest starting AWD, and slowly working the diff settings all the way to rear torque split. It will make RWD easier. FWD was pretty fun in FM4, but not too sure about it in 6. Slide sideways however you like. If anyone says anything different, avoid them. We already have enough hate between drifters and racers, so more divisiveness in the community just causes issues that are not needed.
AWD “drifting…”
Gonna say RWD for the most satisfying balance of acceleration and control against oversteer. AWD is just… not the same.
RWD = Purest form of drifting. The original.
AWD = Rally-style sliding. It’s different.
FWD = Madman with a smile on his face.
All of these things work, it just depends on what you want to do. Just get good.
(i’m brazilian,blabla,bad english,you know) RWD and AWD are very different AWD is like a Ken Block Drift,AWD Cars have more grip,one of the best awdrift cars are the WRX STI and the Mitsubish EVO 7
RWD is the real Drift,it’s a serious drift,rwd cars have less grip,so they can slide off the curve easier,best cars to drift RWD are the BMW E96 M3,Supra and Sprinter
Srry,i didn’t notice that’s a Forza 6 forum,thought it was Horizon
It also contains year old posts…
This is what you do. By the BMW Z3 Coupe looking thing and make it all wheel drive and drop the rotary in it. Go to your Springs and make them completely stiff with ride height all the way down. Go to anti roll bars and make them completely stiff and if you have problems drifting it or getting the tires to spend up just messed with the final drive in the gearing and feel free if you are struggling to turn your tire pressure all the way up. When you’re coming into a turn use the breaking line to set up for a drift in all-wheel drive. When you come up on the breaking section now the brakes and as the red disappears continue holding the brakes and jam the e-brake when all the red disappears nail the throttle while sideways and don’t touch the steering unless you have to.
