Is anybody else having trouble sharing their designs?

I have tried on 5 separate occasions to share a design and it keeps saying “try again later.” Is anybody else getting this problem?

Cant say I’ve had this issue, have all these occasions been on the same day? there may be server issues?

They have been over a period of 3 days

I get this constantly on certain vinyl groups ive made, It just refuses to share them.

You need to resave them under a different name, then you can share them.

I haven’t myself mate but I’ve got friends who have and you need to do what ace said as he was one of them and I told him this it’s silly but if it works then it doesn’t matter lol :slight_smile:

Its hit and miss. if it doesnt share, resave as new group and should work.

Same here Roadrunner, tried several times now to share a paint for this weeks Livery Comp but all i get is “pls try again later” no matter what i do. I have 3 versions of the same paint, my own, one for Xess at VM & a general release version. The one for Xess shared ok as did the 999 version originally but whenever i try to unshare that & put the description “RaceWkN” in the box it refuses to re-share but then to make it even more baffling when i put a blank paint up with the same description it shares it ok.
(Why we have to share the ruddy thing to enter comps is silly anyway, why not just judge from the pics on the forums, was never a problem in the past?)
I’ve sent Little Vixen a pm last week asking if it was the content of the paint that is the problem but she hasn’t bothered replying so i just gave up in the end. Since tried to share other test paints & some will, some wont…just seems like another annoying glitch that’ll have to be worked around somehow but for now i cant enter any of the livery comps so not much point in trying to participate which is gutting as i’d just started to get back into the game recently when multiplayer replays returned (although my experience of multiplayer so far has been poor).
Hopefully version 6 will be our Forza 4 & we can get back to some kind of normality again as at the moment this sucks bigtime.

If we entered just pics then I would get your paints, take a pic and win every week! :smiley:

OK, sillyness out the way. Have you tried the following things:

  1. Shutdown Xbox, unplug from wall, leave for a minute, plug back in and start up.

  2. When asked to share and it fails, try resaving as a new file and then share. I have had your issues before and this works. Delete the old file, make new and share.

I get the same with vinyls too and this is the work around I use.

Done it all mate, i unplug everything at night before i go to sleep anyway (old habit i picked up from my parents many moons ago plus my Kinect has never left the box it came in & i have the slow start up enabled too so i get a hard boot everytime i switch it on.) & i also tried different file names, whole paintjobs etc, just seems very random if i’m honest, no pattern to it at all apart from the fact i cannot seem to share this particular paint with the description “RaceWkN” included. I thought it may be something to do with the filename containing “999” for some bizarre reason so i tried sharing a blank paint with 999 included in the description & filename & that went up no bother, thats when i thought it might be something to do with the actual content of the paint being blocked but after i saw this thread it seems i’m not alone.

Don’t worry about the “RaceWkn” in your description. I have never painted a paint for the specific weeks and as you have to reshare the design if you change the description I am not taking down a paint if it is doing well just to change the desc. Whilst I would like to make LV’s life a little easier the system just does not work. She has found my designs no problem with no week designation so you should be ok mate :wink:
