This morning after the update, i tried tuning my car.
Nice the memory leak is fixed.
So after that i decide to go to multiplayer.
First crash after patch, ok i’ll try to reboot.
Loading… then CTD
Ok more than 300 CTD since 06/10.

Today was my last crash i called microsoft store, and told them to give me back my money.
2 friends did the same.

Keep faith guys…

I would get the CTD after 2-3 races as well, mostly in multiplayer, TDR errors after patch 1.109. I was still getting them with video settings on ultra-high(game would run fine until the 2-3 race CTD).

Turned the video settings back to “recommended” quality and “default” optimization @1080p and was able to race for a good dozen or more races in mp tonight without any crashes.

Hope this can help others as a temp workaround.

FWIW, same experience here. With the 1.109 patch in place and ALL video settings back to defaults (including “standard” resolution of 1080p) I’ve been able to play consistently without crashing, although I’ve only spent time in career mode so far. I tried bumping up resolution to 1440p and… whammo, crashes returned.

So, if you want stability on PC, try resetting ALL graphics options to defaults and give it a spin.

CTD always (and I mean 100% of the times) after a race, when rewards are being given. This time it didn’t even get to the rewards. Long race progress lost… I will send an email with the info. Man, I got over the homologate trash already. With the VIP rewards, this game is actually very enjoyable. But it is beyond broken. Fix it please!

it also addressed the memory and CTD on startup (patch notes are sticked)

That being said, the game still crashes to desktop constantly during Free Race. I usually can’t finish a single race before this happens. The campaign seems to be fine (although they may have changed too now)

Well, just had an CTD again!

This is the crash report generated by the game itself and stored on your HD.

Well guess is the time played in this session till it crashed… 2823 sec / 60 = 47 min of play.

** i5 6600K - 16GB ram - GTX 1070 Gainward Phoenix - installed on SSD **

Yep just finished a 50 lap race in free play on Suzuka and at the credits screen it CTD. I came back and got my money thank god, but damn. It seems microsoft cant get their new creators fall update right or understand how to code for x86. WOW

The patch notes say they fixed the memory leak but it isn’t fixed at ALL and they REMOVED IT from the “known issues” thread.

I’m on standard Xbox One and until yesterday the game run fine.
Last night I’ve had two crashes, and this morning had one too. Once right after the intro logo animations and two other during car selection.

I’ve had respect for Turn10 so far because they developed top quality games but Forza 7 is the nadir of the series. It’s something like Assassin’s Creed: Unity for Ubisoft, or even worse. A bug-ridden, half-finieshed game with questionable features.

Don’t worry guys, they will fix it. right Turn 10?
It will take time though, like it took for Horizon 3 to fix the game, about half a year…
No wonder they call it early access game… cause look at the horrible condition the game is right now.
Unbelievable.

I’m still getting crashes on the upgrade screen, same as pre-patch.

Today’s update introduces a 2X base credit bonus after every race for Forza Motorsport 7 VIPs. In addition, this update addresses the following issues in the game:

• Fixed an issue where VIP cars and Driver Gear were unavailable offline.
• Fixed a memory leak issue where the game would become unresponsive or close unexpectedly for some PC players after upgrading cars or using the Livery Editor.
• Fixed an issue for PC players who were experiencing multiple repeated black-screen crashes at launch.

Thanks,
Brian"

Well clearly that did not work for CTD, also takes forever to load next race sometimes 4 minutes (crazy long)

Im usually racing with 3 other people, both use the xbox. Today one of them got hyped to play on pc with wheel, nothing but CTDs in private lobbies. Also the lobby/party microphone is absolutely horrible where it creates some kind of private party where sometimes one of us cant hear the other or the microphones are very low in volume.

I am having the same issues, i can upgrade my cars now or use the paint editor, but after a while the whole menu is getting laggy even though the memory did not really go up as before. When that happens its just waiting for a crash to happen…I can almost call the crash to the party before it happens so they can anticipate it and not get rammed by my half ghost at full speed :p.

Push for a refund. Only way they will get the message is if people start taking their cash back.

trying to play forza

  1. crash when waiting for online race to finish so i can join
  2. crash when selecting car in main menus
  3. crash when selecting sort when trying to select a car in main menus

[Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D]
Have already sent multiple crash reports via mail but that’s a drag. just fix the game.

Yep, now I’m getting them too. CTD during the Forza GT race under Domination Cup.

I tried again and first it crashed just after loading the map for the race I could join, during intermission.
The second time in the tuning menus from main menu.
both within a few minutes of starting the game

It seems like things have gotten much worse with the new patch.
