I am experiencing the exact same issue, I’ve set everything to max except MSAA which is on 4x but that doesn’t matter and the draw distance is still really bad. I downloaded the demo to see whether I like the game and I really do but if this issue persists even in the final version I may not buy it cause of that. Really don’t want my game to look worse ony my 1300€ PC than on XB1X. Devs should definitely look into this.
I have sent this over to the team for investigation. I will post back here if I need any more information from you or have any updates! Thanks for letting us know.
Finally, thank u.
We need high drawing distance of objects/textures and shadows.
We don’t want to see objects that pop up from the ground when we are closer to them.
Hope to see an update in demo that fixed the drawing distance issue so i will be happy to buy the game
Regards
Anisotropic filtering is easy to fix.
In Nvidia Control Panel panel, choose forza in application and them set anisotropic filtering to 16x, it will auto change also negative lod bias to clamp.
That is.
Yeah, the AA was broken in FH3 as well. I’m sure they actually nerfed it in an attempt to try fix the fps issues they had before eventually fixing the cpu utilization problem. So setting it to 8x now had the same visual effect as 4x previously.
So just to confirm, some settings do not go past low which is why the game’s draw distance is noticeably worse than xbox even on ultra? Is that why I’ve been getting over 70fps on ultra with a 1060?
Just to chime in here, the problem you guys are having with anisotropic filtering is most likely being caused by the fact that you are trying to force it in the Nvidia control panel. I was having this issue as well. You must set it to Application-controlled for the best result. In-game setting to ultra too, of course.
With 16x anisotropic filtering forced:
With aplication-controlled anisotropic filtering set:
