Hi. I’ve been having an intermittent problem with my Thrustmaster TX racing wheel when playing this game ever since day one. Whenever the rear wheels lose traction in any way the wheel suddenly jerks hard left and stays there until traction is regained making it completely impossible to drive the car. Doesn’t matter if the vehicle is RWD, FWD, or AWD. The only way (so far) that I’ve found to fix it is to completely exit the race session and go back into it. Restarting the race session doesn’t help either. I’ve had it happen to me twice today already. The first time I was on my fifth race of the day when it started. Fortunately I was on a somewhat easy track (Road Atlanta) when it occurred so I pressed through and finished. Typically, however, this isn’t the case. If the track is hard enough usually I notice right away when it starts. It’s beginning to REALLY get on my nerves as it now happens every single time I play the game even if it isn’t immediately. Another thing to note is this is the only game I play that the wheel does this with. Every other game I’ve ever played (including Forza Motorsport 5 and Project CARS) has worked perfectly except this one and that bothers me. Anyone else had this issue and, if so, how do I go about correcting it?
Its a known issue (among users anyway) I’m unsure if t10 has acknowledged this issue or not but at the moment the only work around is to turn the vibration down very low or off.
Controller settings>advanced settings>vibration
For me when this vibration glitch occurs i put up with it until the end of the race if i’m online. Then i hit the xbox button on the wheel base to go home then simply press A twice to resume.
This seems to reset it for me until the next time it screws up again.
As the above post states the only permanent fix is to turn vibration off in controller settings but then the wheel feels dead.
I wish T10 would fix this issue but sadley i think they will not or cannot fix it.
Just found out assetto corsa is coming to xbox on april 22nd. hopefully i will not have to put up with this broken unfinished game for much longer.
I don’t think this will ever be fixed. Why do i think this? Because i’ve recently found a somewhat similar ffb bug in Horizon 2. It wont pull to the left like in FM6 but the steering does get heavier and you will lose all subtle vibrations you normally get, like the high pitched vibration you get when you reach the redline of a car.
This loss of redline vibration is also the first sign of the left pull bug you get in Fm6. Try the Formula E, you’ll feel the redline vibrations easiest in this car. When you can no longer feel it you’ll know the bug is just round the corner.
Now knowing this bug is still there, even in a game that released in 2014!!, gives me little hope it will ever be fixed in FM6. Ah well, Project Cars can keep me interested untill Asseto Corsa and Dirt Rally come out.
Edit: btw i only recently bought Horizon 2, never played it before so couldn’t find that bug earlier. I don’t even know if anyone ever mentioned a ffb bug in Horizon?
