When a mouse is connected to xbox series x but not used (controller used in the game) a mouse cursor persist in the middle of screen.
Need to unplug the mouse from xbox to remove the cursor.
If the mouse is not used : the cursor should disappear?
Mouse icon appears on screen as soon as the game loads in and wont disappear. I only have my controller and headset connected , ever. No option to disable mouse or anything, have updated controller, no change, rebooted xbox etc. no change… Any ideas anyone?
Ok, problem solved. my controller keyboard accessory uses a dongle in a USB port. The game thinks this is a mouse. Remove dongle and mouse cursor disappears. Of course this means I cannot use the controller keyboard accessory when playing the game. Bit of a bug eh?
If I remember correctly they had issues with this in previous Forza titles. Not the cursor but one of them would not load if you had a dongle connected or something like that. They just can’t seem to resolve the issues with having a keyboard or mouse connected to your Xbox when trying to play some Forza. This could just be my own experience though.
Also removing my USB dongle for my keyboard and mouse did not work I still have this god forsaken cursor on my screen.
Since the cursor looked like the same cursor that is used with controller in the Microsoft Edge browser on XBOX, I tried exiting Forza, firing up Edge, moving the cursor in Edge down to the corner of the screen, closing Edge, and then starting Forza again. And waddya know?, the cursor in Forza was still there, but now it was out of the way and in exactly the spot I moved it to in Edge. Absolutely bizarre. It’s like the Edge cursor is somehow coexisting with Forza and running like some kind of overlay on top of it.
Strangest bug I’ve ever seen. This is obviously a widespread problem, is completely intolerable, and needs to be fixed ASAP.
It does seem like the edge cursor and the forza cursor are linked, and can be used to make the cursor disappear i moved it to the bottom right of my screen, and now in the game its completely gone without having to unplug the dongle for my controller keyboard accessory
The selector cursor does not move with any controller input, and stays on the screen from game boot up. Whether I’m in the menus or in a race, it stays in the middle of the screen.
It will disappear if I click the Xbox home button, but come right back as soon as I close the Xbox window.
I’ve tried rebooting my Xbox,
Sure enough, I have had the same issue, & what is setting off this glitch for me, is an external memory attached to the input on the back… I have to disconnect that in order to play the game… ridiculous!
Yes, I’ve also had to unplug the bluetooth keyboard dongle from the XSX, in order to remove the mouse cursor.
An earlier Forza game had this exact problem when it was released. Can’t recall if it was FM6/7 or FH4/5.
Since I use the keyboard for inputting things like livery file names/descriptions, I’ve decided to leave the dongle installed. I then use the keyboard’s trackpad to move the mouse cursor to the extreme bottom corner of the screen. This is workable, but clearly the problem needs to be resolved (again).
Load up Microsoft Edge and move the cursor to a corner and play Forza. It wont get rid of it but moves it away from the centre.
Hopefully it will be solved soon
Well at the moment the cursor has gone. I unplugged the Xbox from the wall socket for a few minutes then turned it back on and at the time of typing this…no cursor
