Does anybody have an indycar #2 Penske tune that would be accurate for the Road course Aerokit? Last year’s Indy cars hit a max speed of 191 MPH at Road America, but for some reason turn 10 decided to give the Road course aerokit performance that would match a super speedway. So frustrating. I hope they give us DLC for the 2018 indycars with appropriate performance specs.

I have one shared that you can check out how it does @ RA. It does around 216 @ RA. I used it for the Career events.

Thanks, but I’m actually looking for something slower. I’m trying to get a tune that maxes out around 200mph. I’m looking to get it closer to the actual road course performances. Thanks anyway though.
I got it…I put max downforce on front & rear aero. I’m only hitting 203 MPH on the straights at Road America now. I guess that’s probably about as close as I’m gonna get without changing the gearing. Could I change the final gear (6th gear) to slow the top speed down a little? Sorry for what is probably a stupid question for most of you guys, but I really don’t have time to learn much about tuning since I’m kind of doing the single Dad thing while my wife is back in school.
Max downforce is for road courses and no downforce is for oval tracks. The default tune for indy cars isnt the best gor either, so you need to change it. I was originally doinh around 220mph at road america and getting a 1:45 lap time, now i am doing about 207mph top and getting a 1:41.291 and i love the car. All you need to do is max the downforce and adjust the suspension to your liking from there. I like my suspension stiffer, 500+ lb range for springs, damping rebound above 9 front above 10 rear, -2° front camber -1.4° rear camber. And also with the downforce at max, play with the braking specs to get it below 150ft for 100-0mph, this helps a lot, leave it 50/50 and lower the pressure till u get close to that, then adjust the downforce 1 tick at a time to keep it still very close to max until you hit that sweetspot on the brakinh where you are at like 67ft 60-0mph and like 147ft 100-0mph, you should still be in the 3.20 lateral g range at 120mph.
I use the #4 chevy car. My lap times are not the best, but are top 1% and are competitive against unbeatable drivatars. I have just recently really unlocked these cars full potential and am still besting my lap times as i go along but as of now my best lap times are 1:08.9 at long beach, 1:09.3 at indianapolis grand prix, 1:41.2 at road america, 1:18.9 at sonoma grand prix, 1:29.9 at watkins glen (full circuit with boot). And these are all without traction control on. Try them out and let me know what you think!
The physics of Indycars is very unreal.
Did some testing on Road America using the fastest setup that I downloaded from leaderboards. My car was braking in less than 1 second from full speed on the straight to a very slow corner.
The braking was so quick, it felt so unrealistic and disappointing.
