Increase Map Density with urban elements

Before FH5 launched, I was really excited. The trailers and early footage looked incredible. But once we got into the game, the map ended up feeling very empty in practice. We had one small city that didn’t feel very alive, and then huge stretches of open space between very small towns. At times it felt like you could drive for ages and only pass a couple of houses, with most of the world being trees, sand, or empty terrain.

For FH6, I’m really hopeful things will feel different.

Tokyo being much larger is obviously exciting. But from reading developer comments, it sounds like “five times bigger” may include residential zones, docks, and surrounding areas — not just one dense city center. That makes sense, but I really hope the overall map design doesn’t end up being just one major city with sparse space everywhere else.

What would make a big difference is having multiple towns, smaller cities, residential districts, and industrial areas spread throughout the map. That way, when we’re driving and exploring, it feels like we’re moving through a living world — not long stretches of empty terrain that mainly exist for modes like Eliminator.

In FH5, it sometimes felt like map layout and open space were heavily influenced by Eliminator, and that hurt the sense of world density for regular driving and cruising. I really hope FH6’s map design is focused first on road density, environmental variety, and believable population areas, with game modes fitting into that world — not shaping it.

Of course open countryside, mountains, and rural roads are important, especially in Japan. But I’d love to see a more balanced approach — something closer to a 50/50 split between built-up areas (cities, towns, industry, residential) and open natural spaces.

That kind of density would make cruising, meets, free roam, and exploration feel much more alive and rewarding.

Thanks for all the work going into FH6 — really excited to see how the world comes together.
