Inconsistent FFB, Maxes out Nm

As of Update 12, FFB will sometimes max out making the wheel put out its full available torque resulting in an extremely heavy and powerful wheel.

I have only had this happen on the odd occasion after making adjustments to the in game Advanced Wheel Settings while on track.

I am on a Logitech G Pro 11Nm DD. I have it set to around 6Nm on the wheel base.
As stated, sometimes after changing in game settings the wheel will be putting out its full 11Nm.
If I then adjust the Strength setting on my wheel base it will go back to normal.

I’m not sure if it’s one in game setting in particular that causes this to happen or if it’s just changing settings in general that sometimes triggers it.

Set it to 11 Nm on the wheel and scale it to 0.6 in the game, then this shouldn’t happen.

I have tried that approach before but found setting the FFB scale low like that you lose more detail than setting the scale to 90-100 and reducing the base to the desired strength.
Also that approach of reducing the scale instead of base strength limits you from adjusting on the fly.
It has worked fine up until this recent update.
I will try what you suggest though as it might be different now how the base communicates with the game.

Edit: I have just run a test session, Free play Test drive. I could not replicate the issue, I tested changing each setting individually though the problem of it changing to max output did not happen in this case.

At this stage it seems like its random or something goes wrong with the communication between the game and the wheel and once that happens each time you make a settings change in game it will then put out max FFB. Adjusting the strength via the base it will then revert back to the correct force output.

This has happened twice to me in the last few days. I cant remember what game mode I was in or what vehicle it was, as I just corrected it on the wheel base and carried on.

These are my settings. They working good.
On the wheelbase these settings:
strength: 11 Nm
filter: 8
dampener: 15
angle: 1080

Trueforce i turned off at the moment

Thanks. I have my settings dialed in and the FFB is fantastic.
I’m just pointing out a bug that happens sometimes. 99% of the time everything works perfect.
You should really turn trueforce on. It take the experience to another level.
My TF settings are 100 on the wheel base.
Engine- 90
Tires- 70
Rumble- 35
Collision- 80

I find I have to tweak FFB settings depending on the car/class i’m running. These are what I have set at the moment.
On the wheelbase these settings:
strength: 7 Nm
filter: 8
dampener: 0
angle: 900

In Game
FFB Scale - 90
Steering self alignment - 85
Mechanical Scale - 115 (I will increase this if the car feels numb and for more front end feel.
Pneumatic Scale - 45
Road Feel - 65
Load Sens - 65
Damping - 65
Centre spring - 100 ( I mostly have this at 0, but more spring can help to catch moments in the heat of battle.)
Dynamic - 0
Sensitivity - 50
Linearity - 50

I then set each car individually in the tune.
Mostly FFB-100% and Angle at 60%-100% depending.
