In Focus 12-3-14

Hey there everyone, and thanks for joining me for another installment of In Focus.

A couple of weeks ago I made a call out asking for you to put forward your best paints for inclusion in the article and, as I’d expect from our amazing community, the response has been great. This week I’m going to spotlight some of my favorite submissions as well as taking a look at some of the poignant videos the Forza community has recently released to commemorate the one year anniversary of the passing of Paul Walker, the talented actor who was one of the stars of the “Fast and Furious” movie franchise and also a very popular figure in the automotive world.

GETTING YOUR WORK FEATURED ON THE FORZA HUB AND WEBSITE VIA IN FOCUS!

I’d also like to extend you all an invite to get involved in future editions of In Focus by submitting to me in this thread your favorite liveries from either Forza Horizon 2 or Forza Motorsport 5 that you’ve painted, along with some words about your creation. I’ll then be picking my favorites from the thread for inclusion in next weeks article on both the website and the Forza Hub on the Xbox One dash!

If you want to submit a livery for consideration then please follow the below format in your post.

  • Gamertag

  • Car Make/Model

  • Livery Name

  • Link(s) to at least one 1920x1080 image of the livery in question, feel free to be creative when picking your images!

  • Some descriptive text about your livery (max of 800 characters including spaces)

CLUB OF THE WEEK

Also moving forwards for In Focus I’m going to be including a new section called “Club of the week”. If you’re a member of a club in Forza Horizon 2 and want it to be put forward for consideration, then please let me know in this thread using the below as a template for your post:

  • Club Tag
  • Club Name
  • Number of Members
  • Description of your club (max of 800 chars including spaces)
  • Links to any cool images or videos about your club, feel free to use your imagination!

Livery Name: Giffany

Giffany

I’ve been painting in forza for quite some time now, but never really had much recognition. I tend to focus more with cartoons than anything else. Anyways, I came across the show Gravity Falls, particularly an episode which features the character on the car. Her name is Giffany, a sort of dating-sim-gone-wrong character. I decided why not let’s have some fun with this? Dedicated some time into it and came up with this.

Benn a huge fan of the work from the Liberty Walk garages for a long time now, and have finally got some work done on a few cars from them here in Forza 5.
Had a blast doing these cars in FM4, and have even been more fun here in FM5, now that you have more layers to play with.

This is a replica of their famous widebody kit for the Ferrari 458, and then mixed with some of my own ideas and the car the actuall founder drives, love how it came out since dark widebodies arent that easy to do, with shading and stuff, but it worked great if i may say so myself

And when the founder also likes the pictures and work you show, then you know you have done well, hope everyone will enkoy it as much as i do…

GT: Cobi Wenlock
Car: 2012 Nissan GT-R Black Edition
Design: Tom - Rio 2016

For my first paint since I joined SGC_, the Rio 2016 mascots were announced at the same time, & one who would become Tom’s mission is “To inspire everybody to use creativity and determination to always reach further and have fun;” so it was a good fit to go along with an earlier E93 M3 based on London 2012 mascot Mandeville (called “Alex Zanardi”, Italian racing driver and paracyclist).

I had to mix and match various images from the official website, and modify them myself to fit with what I wanted in this livery. There were various challenges making this, but I came up with solutions I never would have thought of before.

Nissan, the official car company of Rio 2016, meant nothing else would do for Tom. Trying other cars, the R35 had the most “agitos”. I’m very happy how it turned out.
