Hey there Forza community, and thanks for joining me for another installment of In Focus. What a mix of treats I have in store for you this week.
I recently made a call out for the painters of the Forza community to submit their best work for this series, and quite frankly the response has been great. Thanks to everyone who submitted a paint for consideration and it’s my pleasure to be able to showcase some stunning work from Forza painting luminaries such as Gr333nz, Stuzib85, ABGRAPHICS and many others in today’s article. We also take a look at the latest video by DomesticMango, who recently released his latest epic, “The Awesome World of Forza Horizon 2”. I was a massive fan of the original “Awesome World of Forza Horizon 1” video released two years ago and I think he’s actually managed to top it with his latest effort. Finally, to round of the article, we take a look at our latest Forza Horizon 2 “Club of the Week”, Pendulum Tuning.
GETTING YOUR WORK FEATURED ON THE FORZA HUB AND WEBSITE VIA IN FOCUS!
I’d also like to extend you all an invite to get involved in future editions of In Focus by submitting to me in this thread your favorite liveries from either Forza Horizon 2 or Forza Motorsport 5 that you’ve painted, along with some words about your creation. I’ll then be picking my favorites from the thread for inclusion in next weeks article on both the website and the Forza Hub on the Xbox One dash!
If you want to submit a livery for consideration then please follow the below format in your post.

CLUB OF THE WEEK
Also moving forwards for In Focus I’m going to be including a new section called “Club of the week”. If you’re a member of a club in Forza Horizon 2 and want it to be put forward for consideration, then please let me know in this thread using the below as a template for your post:

Club of the week -
Name - Spraygun Collective
Tag - SGC_
Number of members 150+
Club Leader - ABGRAPHICS, CO Leaders - Wayne Tomlinson & DOSE ROCKS
Back in the Forza 5 paint booth ABGRAPHICS started a thread and between a number of painters we figured getting a club running in FH2 would be good idea, and eventually the name of “[SGC_] Spraygun Collective” was conceived.
This is a creative club open to any level of painter new or old, regardless of level of ability or just an invitation to gamers who are looking to try their hand at the editor.
Be it race cars, replicas, fantasy designs or just for fun to pass the time you are all very welcome to be involved.
If you look back at the paint comps and the club members you will find that we have been doing very well in the comps getting 2/3+ members a week winning, but also getting some top marks on the race leaderboards proving that painters are also fast on the tracks
A few of our painters, take a look at there paint thread page and the work they do. ABGRAPHICS, cruse2382, jifler, VXR Stu, WildcatKNH & DOSE ROCKS
I did this because of the love for all things VW and rally. it took alot of work trying to fit it on the classic beetle due to the different shape and size compared to the new beetle but after some time it all came together, it looks great on the dirt roads of horizon. I also got a tweet for Tanna himself saying it was cool, and that made all the hard work worth it just knowing that the guy that drives the real car digs it, what more can a painter ask for!
After winning a 370z in the wheelspine i knew i just had to paint it so after I spent a bit of time online looking for paints I saw this and as I had already got dose rocks nos evo and nos suport transit I thought this would make a nice addition to the set. After two days of making logos I thoght they were never going to end but im really glad I pushed myself to make everything as it came out really nice and is one of my best selling designs.

Forza 5
This is the last livery that I´m painted in Forza5 at the moment… i used special gold paint to make all the logos and painted Link in black and White to make it different to other liveries, and painted Midna on the roof… I´m a big fan of the Zelda games, so I have to make at least one livery with that theme… Hope soon I can paint an Ocarina of time livery in Horizon2!
After a break from painting, I was planning to create a Venom paint. However, during some image searches, the Star Wars trailer was released.
That changed things.
I thought some of the screen grabs might be achievable, so I went for it.
Usually, I spend ages choosing which car to paint, but straight away I picked the Audi TT RS. Nice, flat, panels, give the paint room.
The most complex piece of the whole paint was the Millennium Falcon. With no real defined shading, it was hard to take from a block colour piece.
The rest fell into place quite well.
The figure on the bonnet was quite simple, with heavy use of gradients in order to capture the fabric of his cloak. That was something I learnt from a few FM5 projects.
I’m happy with how it looks. Even though it has complex vinyl’s, the overall paint is uncluttered, and clean.
