So there’s almost never anyone playing Arcade rubbish just now. And even when there is maybe even just a single other player, they’re invisible. It’s a disaster.
It’s possible to get through the first round of an Arcade event on your own. But I’ve yet to manage getting to the third, and I doubt it’s possible to ever compete the third round in the time limt.
Has anyone managed to do this and get the Festival Playlist Arcade challenge? We need this this season, it seems, becaue of the two bugged-out single point challenges.
I’ve done the Arcade requirement of the Playlist every week so far…think in the 3 weeks it’s been out, I’ve completed the 3 rounds maybe 10-15 times.
It comes down to luck…some events you can’t even finish round 1 even with 4-6 players; other events, it is easy. There was one last week where I was on my own and got halfway through Round 3. Just keep persevering…I do probably 5 a day as even the 20 points (10 if non-VIP of course) for one round is useful
That gets you FP, but no use to pop the seasonal achievement.
I’ve, sadly, solitarily, played dozens of Arcade rounds… hardly ever see anyone else playing! This is compeltely miserable compared to FH4 Forzathon hourly stuff.
Fair point…the 20FP isn’t much use for the playlist. Unfortunately, it really comes down to luck…might be worth checking the LFGs as there are probably plenty of people also trying to do the same; if you don’t belong to a Club, try joining one and seeing if you can get other members to help out; failing that, feel free to add me and if I’m on, I am willing to help with it
Yes yes yes, this is a known issue that who knows when its going to be fixed.
I had bad luck these days and i always find the drift version of horizon arcade, not the regular one, so since drift s1cks badly, i never attend. I guess most people do the same.
I tried to complete the regular horizon arcade once, but it was just me and other guy, and we only made it to round 2. Since then, i just dont really care lol.
I’ve completed the 3 rounds for the seasonal every week so far.
If there are only a couple of people trying the best strategy I’ve found is to send convoy invites, drive to the next arcade when you fail, get a couple more to join the convoy at that arcade fail, Repeat
It may take 3 or 4 arcades to get the 6-7 people actually trying to complete all 3 rounds before you manage to complete them.
Chances are if anyone is in the arcade circle, they are trying to get the weekly done. I don’t know why else they would bother!
Yes. Doable for some first rounds. I’ve almost completed two rounds by myself, but it’s rare. I don’t think I’ve completed a first round of drift by myself even though I’m very good at it.
I’ve played with 5 players in total all sesto fe and we couldn’t beat 3rd round of speed in time, first round where you have to go around in circles took almost 5 minutes and that’s doing 200 mph in that stadium, some challenges are simply repetitive and not even fun, forzathon shop is nothing to brag about either, just not worth it, that’s why there is barely anyone even plays this, it’s just bad and pointless
Yeah. Unless I’m missing something, you’re supposed to exit the stadium and do the speedzone out front. I was in my first Arcade event with >3 people today (this one may have been full) and was excited to finish one. On this event I was the only one who did the speedzone. Many others were driving in circles earning 0 points. I got us halfway through round 1 before quitting and vowing not to even bother until something changes. I tried honking and quick chat… tried going back in to try to lead them out. All for nothing. I see other users describing the event the same way you do but I know for a fact I was earning points and nobody else was… I was roughly adding up each pass as I went to make sure I wasn’t insane.
Yeah. Forzathon shop is pointless because of the Arcade grind. Nobody wants to play Arcade over and over again by themselves to maybe complete one round each time.
cough Almost nobody! I don’t mind doing Arcade rounds by myself for the 20FP…sometimes I will get lucky and manage to win 2 rounds. Maybe I’m just bored enough that it keeps me entertained lol
I’ve been playing the game for almost three weeks already and I still haven’t been able to finish three rounds of the Arcade. Every time I show up for one it’s only myself or one other person playing.
So they not only made Forzathon Arcade/Live more difficult but they cut the time from 15 mins to 10. They also made the challenges more time consuming. Great decision.
We had 8 players and still couldn’t complete the three rounds.
First was the Danger Sign at the old airport. This took time since we had to keep driving a long distance to get enough speed to get a decent jump.
Second was the air skills and this took a lot of time.
Third was the Target. We had over 3 mins but it took 2 to get to the area.
If we had 8 in FH4 we would have completed any off the 3 challenges.
Use LFG. Find a post or start your own. People will join and you will get these done. This is the single most important thing. Take control of the situation and stop just hoping that random people will be doing the events.
Use fast travel. Stop wasting time driving around.
Danger sign? Jump then fast travel so you don’t waste time driving back to the jump. Round one complete? Fast travel to the next place instead of driving 5 miles and wasting 2 minutes.
Speed traps. Stop driving so far away. You are wasting 30 seconds driving away from the speed trap. Yes you can get 250 mph with that super long approach but I can get 150mph 3 times in the same amount of time by not gong so far away. It’s a team effort with no leader board. Stop wasting time.
Speed zones. Slow down. Slow down. Slow down.
I see so many people trying to go as fast as they can and sliding off the road and failing the zone. Slow down to the point that you can control your car, stay on the road, and put some points on the board.
Pay attention to the instructions and what is actually giving you score. If it says drift to the next area and is only giving you score when you drift on a road then stay on the road. If you are in a lfg group use your mic and keep people on target.
Destruction events. Stop destroying everything that is breakable in the area before the event starts. You are going to need that stuff to score points.
Keep in mind that you are not going to complete every event. Some events are hard and others bug out. The air event in the sand dunes is notorious for not spawning targets after the first time around. Laugh it off and move on to the next event.
Air skills. Stop jumping so far. It’s air skills, not ultimate air skills. If you are jumping over 3 hills in one jump you just lost 2 or 3 more air skills. Pay attention to what it is telling you to do. Huge jumps are costing you time and points. 10 small jumps count the same as 10 big jumps but can be done much faster.
Hope someone finds at least some of this helpful.
Good luck out there!
