If Freeroam Rush survives into FH5 im not buying this

As the title says,i am really hoping Freeroam Rush wont be a thing in FH5.I hate this mode with a passion and it is the most garbage game mode straight up,if you think otherwise i really am sad that you got used to this. There is no skill involved beyond using map knowledge to plan a better route. You can not dodge trees at 150+mph,you can not play with a normal car and not flip at some point,so jeep meta is legit. And the worst thing is why does this exist in Dirt RACING,WHY?

At this point in time the only difference between Dirt and Cross Country is that in Dirt you race on dirt and in cross country you mostly race on asphalt and barely get to race on anything else.It is the cancer of this game and the thing that singlehandedly ruins my experience.

Bought an xbox just to play FH4 and dont get me wrong, the first time experience is absolutely godly but if you wanna play ranked, you are forced to play Cross Country,or Dirt B A or S1 and i dont really have a problem but maybe i do not want to play Cross Country or Dirt and this

Summary
what they brought to FH: danses, clothes, super wheel spin, free roam as a race, corner bombing, ramming, Lego, Eliminator,…
what they had initially or permanently removed : Free for all & lap time, multiple cars rivals, promotion of clean racing,…

Possibly they will solve your problem by removing championships and you’ll just have Eliminator like races …

I don’t have an issue with FRR to be honest. As you pointed out, one needs to know the terrain well. A good tune brings you miles ahead of the rest. The Toyota Baja, RAM, Ford Ranger, Subaru 2005 should be quite good in CC in most cases.

I would suggest slowing down when approaching trees so that you can dodge them as I doubt anyone can dodge trees travelling at ~300 kmh.

I bought WRC 8 and their dirt surface is really good, though problematic to implement here due to the skill required to master it. Perhaps purchase a rally based game should you want a more fulfilling rally based experience. Rally V4 is free to download with XBOX gold, which is quite challenging albeit a few bugged tracks.

I think what goes on in the head of whoever decides these things at PG is that people who only want to race on tarmac, without freeroam rush, are catered for by FM7.

The problem is that FM7 isn’t up to the job. It doesn’t have as good a ranking system as FH4, and AFAIA it doesn’t enforce track limits in most lobbies. Also, I personally find the range of tracks very dull compared to FH4’s glorious scenery.

I think a road/street only option in FH4 ranked would be hugely popular, indeed I think they’re actually terrified that it would be so popular it would effectively kill off dirt, cross country, and freeroam rush.

That would ineffectively mean we have six ranked divisions if racing/ street were separated from Dirt and CC provided Dirt and CC are separated as well.

I assume FRR was added to make Dirt and CC event tougher or more challenging than just having 3 matches in an event. I just it proved harder than the normal CC or Dirt races themselves

My suggestion would be to not separate them, but to split into “tarmac” and “any”, so that if very few people choose “any” they get put in a tarmac adventure. If they wanted to only do this in one of team or ffa, to gauge popularity, that would be fine with me.

This should work and I’ll be fine with that as well. I do hope they dirt surface is reworked for the next game.

Dodging trees sucks.

Unfortunately it seems they really like this sort of gameplay, because it’s forced in Unranked, prevalent on the Eliminator and also what H2H racing revolves around. Most of the cars in the game are road cars (whether tarmac/dirt), so I prefer sticking to the roads, tyvm.

Maybe if Freeroam Rush rename to Offroad Rush then problem solved
