There’s a lot of good stuff out there, but I’m having difficulty finding good liveries for modern supercars as well as classic muscle cars… I’ve got some of them, but others like '71 Camaro Z/28 I couldn’t find liveries in Trans Am/NASCAR style which are my favorites for this sort of car. “Recommended Designs” are like 90% Bumblebees, so annoying!
I generally like liveries inspired by racing and/or show cars as well as drifters… Anything that looks cool in my book, actually. The sticky provided me with great content, but some cars like Ferrari 458 Scuderia I didn’t find decent ones, other than generic Monster Energy designs. Perhaps there’s more than what exists in the forum, as I’ve seen quality work from people not mentioned in the sticky.
Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like the game can filter search by popularity, though there are gems with 4 or even 3 stars. So the search is actually useless because it returns me a lot of subpar designs and it’s hard to find the good ones among them.
I also believe some people are stealing designs from known designers, which is why I’m seeing identical designs with very different ratings, though I can’t be sure because I don’t know if there’s such loophole.
What you should do. IMHO, is find a design you like and get someone
to recreate it for you. Finding a livery on the internet and providing a link would really make
a recreation easier, but not necessary.
That’s a good alternative, but I don’t know how friendly painters are to requests. I mean, of course I’m not going to pester anyone with a request, having dabbled in modding for a while and knowing how it goes, but some people don’t take requests, period, so…
A painter named RallyzX360 takes all kinds of requests, but he is taking a bit of a break from Forza right now. I’ve been working with him since March. He usually will take your request, but if it is a complicated design with, say, 30 logos on each side of the car, he might not do it. Back before he went silent, jiggle uk took a couple of my requests. There are friendly painters out there. You just have to look.
Alternatively, if you find a design you like, you can create the actual design part of it and finish it up by downloading the logos off peoples’ storefronts.
I did browse through all of the Painter List sticky, but not the T10 winners one. I figured many of them are marked as “featured” in Recommended Designs. But I’ll go through it again.
