I think drivatars are unaffected by simulation damage

Which really sucks… One of them rear-ended me at like 100mph and messed my drivetrain all up, they were not affected at all. Drove off like nothing. I seriously love this game but it kinda makes the risk one sided haha

I am pretty sure that the AI in all forza games has been cosmetic. It would be nice for them to have sim damage, but obviously wasn’t thought to be critical.

The absence of sticky grass in this game is quite nice though as the Ai cars in Forza 5 were immune and would reenter the track at full speed if they went off.

Well, I just did a MP race with 5 AI on Unbeatable on Sonoma. In the LFA, I had an M6 take me into a concrete wall along with him spinning into it hard. I had severe engine damage and tried to limp to the pits. I looked back and noticed that he was doing the exact same thing at the exact same speed, about 6 MPH. Before this occurrence I was unsure as to whether or not the AI ever took damage, but now I tend to think that if it is a hard enough hit they will sustain damage as well.

After voluntarily crashing into AI by racing backwards, I can safely say that AI is unaffected by any kind of mechanical damage. Or if there is, it is on a much lower scale than the player’s (which is already pretty lenient, but will screw you up if you hit a wall hard enough).

Also, previous Forzas (except 5) had AI mechanical damage.
