I need your help with this.. for science

Ive found this glitch when applying a livery where basically every 2nd livery will not save to “my designs”. Ive noticed it only happens on some vehicles. And i haven’t seen anyone complaining about it. Am i reaching here or is this actually a glitch?

What i would like from you is to try and replicate it and tell me if you’re getting the same problem. PC platform required! Mainly because i’m on PC . Ive no idea if console has the same issue. But if you’re a console player and wish to try and replicate it feel free. *Also please specify your platform in the comments

You can try with the follwing vehicles: Lamborghini Sian, Cupra Formentor VZ5 , or 2001 Audi RS 4 Avant (these are the ones ive found so far)

Here’s a video that i captured that will give you an idea of what you’re supposed to do:

The steps summarized:

  1. Pick one of these 3 vehicles ( you can try all later of you wish )

  2. Make sure you have a livery applied on it already or if you don’t go ahead and apply one, doesn’t matter which. (edit: if you have your own livery applied you’re going to need to download another one)

  3. Now we’re going to apply the second livery, dont remove the old one or anything. Simply go to Designs and Paints - Find new designs tab - pick one. Use the recommended tab, dont use the search function. Pick a livery that you can find later just by looking at recommended

  4. Now Go to Designs & Paints - Click on My Designs and normally you’re supposed to see your new livery saved there. If you’re seeing it then its fine, if not continiue.

  5. Now you’re going to strip your vehicle’s current livery. You do that by clicking " Restore Default Paint/Vinyls

  6. Wait till it loads up and your car should be back to stock paint

  7. Now go back to Designs & Paints - Find New Designs - And find the design that you previously picked and apply it

  8. Go back to My designs and your livery should be there

If you’ve reached this far then you’ve succesfully completed my scientific test. Feel free to share the results below.

As a bonus here’s another clips of the other 2 cars:

Here’s a link to my report on the troubleshooting hub.

I think you have to specify in step 2 that the livery you already have on the car is one that was downloaded and not one created personally. I didn’t quite know what you were getting at because after reaching step 4 and you say “If you’re seeing it then its fine, if not continue.”

Because I started with a livery of my own, step 4 resulted with me being able to see it.

However, when I went and downloaded a second one after that, you’re right. The second one didn’t show. I had to remove the first one I downloaded and re-download the second one to get it into my saved liveries.

Agreed. This seems to be a glitch. I think it’s also good to point out that this same glitch happens when downloading multiple tunes that a given user may have more than one of. It doesn’t always work either.

I upvoted your report.

Noted. Thanks for participating and upvoting the report. It helped a lot. Otherwise theres no other way of proving this. I assume your platform is PC ?

That is correct. I am on PC. It’s not something I ever would’ve noticed personally since I rarely download other user liveries.
