Paint livery wiped from Design catalog immediately after glitch. 20+ hours lost🤬😭

So,

Not sure about everyone else but occasionally after working in the paint shop, the livery I was working on wouldn’t be visible when loading into a lobby. It’s visible at the menus but as soon as I load up free play or multiplayer it would be wiped from the car.

As soon as I notice that it has’nt been applied to the car when loading into a lobby, I back out to “my designs” and reload it. This time after five attempts of reloading the livery and joining a lobby it wouldn’t stick! (It usually only takes a couple).

It’s been a rare common issue for me🤪 so when it doesn’t play ball I found a couple of tricks that normally gives it the treatment. I Reload the livery from “my designs” then jump straight over to the paint shop. In the past when changing paint the livery is still visible. On average if I paint any part of the car then save and exit, the livery will stay applied when joining a lobby.

If this doesn’t work I then go from the paint shop to “apply decals” and alter something on the car then save and exit which is normally the end of it. This time round it wouldn’t stay applied, when ever I entered “apply decals” even after consecutive attempts the livery would be wiped immediately

Any who, I did what I presumed was harmless. After it had failed to stay applied when leaving “apply decals”, I went back to the paint shop and changed it to to gloss black. I Figured it saved to my designs so no biggie.

As it turns out, it was a biggie. After painting it gloss black, I went to my designs and the son of a motherless goat took my design!!!

Frantic, I decided to hit the home button and quit Forza, then load back in. The car livery still wasn’t loaded and went back to factory white (no gloss black) so I tried again, reload my designs and the livery was gone, just a gloss black s13. I quit forza again and again but still nothing. I held the home button and shut down the Xbox. Reloaded, Nothing. I did a cold shut down. Reloaded, Nothing.

As you could imagine at this stage I’m in between throwing my controlla at the Xbox or assuming the fetal position. I’m no expert but if you could fix that for me faith will be restored🙏

Looking back I’d say that’s a fairly detailed report​:face_with_monocle:. If somehow you could retrieve my paint I would be extactic, if not I’m gonna send you a letter. null

I think you’re out of luck to be honest.

It sounds like you probably erased the livery before you applied the coat of black paint. That being the case, I don’t think there’s anything T10 can do to retrieve it I’m afraid.

At least you should still have all the layer groups saved which you used to make the livery, so not all of your work is lost.
