I need help with my HP Omen gaming laptop... Please?

For all these years and still now since 2016 when I got my HP Omen gaming laptop as an Xmas present, I haven’t been able to find the correct option somewhere that disables this annoying “two-input register” limit of the keyboard. Don’t know what that means? It’s where pressing three or more different keys on the keyboard at the same time will not do anything, even for certain actions in certain games and apps where there may be hidden button codes that need pressing and holding three particular buttons simultaneously to activate something.

For instance, when playing on the GBA emulator named VisualBoyAdvance (“-M” edition), I tried to enable the ability to bring up a hidden option in certain games, and those games with the hidden options and their button sequences required to activate are:

  1. In Kirby’s Dream Land (first game), press Up + A + Select at title screen to enter Config Mode.
  2. And in Pokemon Red, Blue, Yellow, etc., press Up + B + Select at title screen to be able to erase existing save file.

Personally, I always and prefer to play this emulator using the keyboard, because it doesn’t need inserting a JoyPad controller into USB, and the fact that Game Boy systems have less amount of buttons available (D-Pad, A, B, Start and Select). But for some strange reason, my laptop is not letting me do these code sequences listed above to get to the said games’ hidden features, due to this problem with the keyboard’s way of working that just stupidly restricts the limit of how many keys can be pressed, limiting only 2. And not just that, even moving around in games using WSAD sometimes can cause an off-putting stop to movement as well, like in Sonic 3D Flickies’ Island on SEGA Mega Drive (or Genesis if you prefer) where I control Sonic in the isometric perspective, but occasionally he will stop movement for a bit, and that’s just not right at all if you ask me. -_-’ =/

But before you might answer - yes I know this site isn’t about VisualBoyAdvance, Kirby, Nintendo, etc. It’s just in the “Off-Topic” category for misc stuff only. But also yes, I am aware not many here may have an idea to even a solution on how to disable this irritating two-input register for playing games with the keyboard, let alone the games themselves that only I know best myself. Still, can at least someone here offer me a direction to finding a way to disable this issue? Please? Cheers and thanks.

Oh sure… Ignore all this like no one even gets what I’m meaning in plain English or something. -_-’

I quickly found these two threads that may but may not be relevant to your situation. Based on them, you would have to buy a mechanical keyboard.

I, however, suggest you ask Reddit or HP support for an answer to your specific question.
