I miss this community

I first played Forza Motorsport 2 in 2008. After that, the world of cars changed for me. For the time that I was active in the community, I pretty much developed as a person, artistically and personally.

From what I notice now, the Forza Motorsport community has never been this active, at all. Many of the people I first raced with and corresponded with are long gone, but I remember them.

Anyways…
Hello.

shout out to FTI!

There are still a few veterans around, seems that the more well known of the FM4 era are long gone though.

A lot of the big name painters left once we switched to Xbox One, as you couldn’t import your livery files. Re-making several logos from scratch is a tiresome process for little to no reward. The lack of Gifting items to players also put a big dent into any collaboration efforts.

There are a few familiar faces still around but that community is not what is was and I doubt it’ll return to that size again.

I almost think the paint got worst end of the deal, when jump to Xbox one. The system now is just terrible for everybody. So hard find good paints and it’s not worth it to me. I have a lot of black cars.
Heck I even have on of the suggested paints because I was the first pair up. All its said “Crappy paint job”. On the viewable side.

Hopefully they will revert back fm3 system / blueprint for fm7 however spend more time patching the unlock hack instead of removing features!!! fm6 storefront system sucks as buyers can not find other car designs by the painter in 1 place!!! Also lets not mention the CR payout #whatasham

I really hope they get it right this time around with Forza 7 and can please most if not all the whole community.

I’ve been playing since first Forza and it’s still my go to game out of any game that I buy, even MotoGP games and RIDE which were at one time my preffered game of choice. I still keep coming back to this AWESOME Racer

I can’t paint and can’t tune lol but still love this game !

Since finding aTuner that suits my style (ginge pfc) this game has opened up even more over the last couple of years

Nothing beats getting in a good lobby and having some real close racing gaming wise after all these years.

I have made some great friends through this game and think the community is one of the best out there without a Doubt !!!

I really hope they bring back the features that the community really wants and get a resolve on the corner cutting issues, but on the whole this is the only game that I come back to time after time.

I sure am getting hyped already LOL just thinking about the new Forza

Here’s hoping all !

You could say I’m relatively new to the community, I’ve been active on the forums since FM3, partly as my 1st xbox profile XxEVILxHOMERxX. I lost that profile and started up my xDeaDxZeppLiNx profile. I pretend I’m a tuner and can sometimes come up with a cool looking paintjob, but I’m not where alot of these forza old school guys are with driving and race liveries. There’s some amazingly talented people here!!

As I was late to the party so to speak, I don’t know alot of the Old School forza guys, but the people I have been lucky enough to meet up with through tuning comps and HLC’s are very good people. I’ve learned so much from them. As far as this community as a whole, I’ve always been blown away how quick to help anybody most people are. Quick shout out to the HLR guys, Moss, PRKid, Infidel, the PTG guys I’ve met, XxDyno DonxX, Alf, Juggs, Knuckles, Snowman, Warlock, too many to list! I wish I would have gotten into it much sooner.

For me, forza has been something that has helped me through times dealing with depression, keeping me connected to other people, good people. Just need to find that single ladies racing club, lol!! Seriously though, I’ve never been a bar guy and my work schedule is sorta opposite most of my friends, so forza keeps me from getting into to much trouble. And I’ve always been a car guy!!

I’m sure it’s not the same with different people, folks that are kinda new. I assure you though, as long as all the guys I mentioned earlier, guys like PJTierney, the old school guys left the community in good hands. It’s still there, well here, maybe a little smaller, but there’s still alot of good folks and fun being had.

And its not just painters…though they got the worst of it. The whole system of sharing (and the corresponding “rating” and search system that came with it) that has evolved over the last couple of games has made it hard to get motivated to take the time to make and share tunes or paints with anyone.

Whats the point? I have all the cars, their all tuned, the credit payout is useless at this point. The rating system is broke, and annoying if you are racing. Like I want to rate the same paint numerous times because its on one of my faster tuned cars while I’m just trying to get back to the lobby to fight off the Old Mulsanne brigade, lol. On top of that the ability to just take tunes from leaderboards has turned hotlapping into a cloning lab which has in turn infected the public racing.

Sorry…squirrel.

Also, as an “old guy” thats been around a long time (though not very active here lately) I remember getting on .net during lunch, on a break, even between races because this community was almost as fun as the game itself. This place has become a shell of what it was…dont know why but its just not the place it once was. Maybe it’s that whole ‘progress’ thing.

Hopefully we as a community can do something to change that because I would to see this place become just another cookie cutter game forum.
