While playing either game, it says that I have too many file saves of either Tunes (in the case of Forza 5) or Liveries (both Forza 5 and FH2)
I’m just curious have other people run into this issue?
Is it simply a game issue where we are limited to downloading tunes and liveries?
Here are some facts that I’ve checked, but I can not find anyone else with this issue.
I have both an Internal and External Hard Drives.
I have 130.8 GBs free on my Internal Hard Drive.
I have 2.4 TBs left on my External Hard Drive.
Both Forza 5 and Horizon 2 are installed to my Internal HD
Is there any reason for this???
Also… with over 400+ cars in the game, I do not have tunes for all of them. It seems kind of pointless to have a limit on how much you can download with 400+ cars and 15+ tracks to have a tune for each one?? Seems unlikely to have a cap on that?
There’s nothing natural about it… when you can have less tunes and liveries then the number of cars that are in the game in total? I don’t understand why we can’t have as many that will fit in the storage on our xbox. There wasn’t any limit in FM2, 3 or 4… now all the sudden with the capacity to make better games with a better platform… we get strangled? It doesn’t really make sense.
Many discussions here about this - you are limited to 300 tunes and 300 designs. Why? Because of the cloud saves which have a limit on them and so T10 have had to place caps on how many of anything you have in each game so it will continue to function.
This would make sense if the cloud saves actually functioned as intended. Perhaps turn 10 can break the game up into multiple files like on the x360 and have a career and multiplayer file, a layer group file, a design file and a tuning file. This would break up the file sizes to stay within the cloud limits, allows us to store considerably more is each file type, and makes it easier to sync with the cloud as well. you’d lose only a portion of data if something goes wrong. Reading all the separate files together shouldn’t be an issue since the devs had it figured out last gen.
Would work except that the limit is based on a per game per user basis so doesn’t change the maximum amount of data. It would help if the save for Forza wasn’t massive but hopefully T10 have made ground on this for Fm6 at least. If the saves updated in a more efficient manner would help too but don’t know if that is a MS issue, a T10 issue or both.
It wouldn’t change the overall size of all the pieces of game data and if that’s part of the issue then perhaps youu couldn’t get more saves. I do feel that it would offer a greater level of security however. For those that play primarily on one device only the career & multiplayer portion (this includes all paints nad tunes currently applied to a vehicle) would really need to sync with the cloud. If they default to leaving layers, designs, and tunes locally there could be a hidden menu option on boot that detects when you’re on a different console and prompt the user “Forza Motorsport has detected you’re playing on a new console, would you like to sync: layers, designs, tunes?” and offer a checkbox you can opt into for each one.
This way, if something goes your or your save data crashes hopefully you’re not losing everything but only a part and hopefully, it’s not the part with all of your tuns and paints that you’ve worked so hard to create.
