I started on November 5th when the game opened in early release for pre-orders, and I’ve played at least some on every day since.
154 hours driven, 81 hours in first place, 965 races, 912 victories (that first month was pretty bad, while I was figuring out the new difficulty levels).
Wow I don’t feel so bad about my 8d play time now haha. Even with that time I have 533 cars, all races won, all PR stunts, and 1400+ accolades. I guess those with higher driving time are setting times on all the rivals tracks and performance classes?
I’ve started working through race accolades and then setting rival times on the same tracks. Usually about top 2000-5000 worldwide; no chance I’m getting near top 500!
I was a huge fan of FH4. Started playing it half way after it was released and ended up playing Eliminator religiously at first and then I moved onto solo ranked where I tried to get the grand master title but found it quite difficult as most grand masters already had their title and only did the minimum required races to retain it. So often I would win all races and my ranking would go down? Anyway I’m digressing.
When FH5 was launched I played it a lot each day and fooled myself into thinking they were going to add back ranked races. So in the meantime I would get familiar with every race in every class to take on the grand masters from FH4 because those players are seriously good. Anyway I knew I was fooling myself and that ranked wouldn’t be coming back. Ended up getting bored so moved onto the Eliminator and found that to be quite honestly a joke. It’s so bad in comparison to FH4.
Now I’m barely playing 1 hour a day. I would say I spend more time on this forums then I do playing the game. These forums have more sense of a community then the game. They are more interesting lol. It’s sad.
i’ll have to check my time the next time i play, but it shouldnt be higher than 3 days. i only play once or twice a week until they make this game fun again. it’s sad cause i had weeks put in to horizon 4.
Time driven 128hrs 14:45
Cars in garage 365
Credits earned (Total winnings?) 38,296,619
Skill points earned 747
Distance driven 7905 miles
Ha ha I have approx 1/2 the game time but a tenth of the credits - same goes for skill points. Clearly doing something wrong lol. To be fair most of my time has been spent in rivals, don’t do a load of online and haven’t been over worried about trying to acquire skill points. The skill point acquisition on just road races is pretty insignificant as most of the things you earn those points for, don’t give you a quicker time.
Interesting all the same. Just goes to show how differently one player will experience the game to another.
I did some “afk” racing to be honest, but not the way it is meant to be - I use a track with 20 rounds needing about an hour to complete in an X999 car and getting about 200 skill points. With not the way meant to be I don’t do it afk, but with all assists turned on.
As I have here two PCs with 32" Monitors each (iiyama G-Master G3266HS) I play on the new one FH5 while I watch on the other Amazon Prime or Youtube just pressing the “W” key for accelaration. If the pc would be in the same room as my tv set, I would watch there but these days are over and there are in different rooms now.
And before anyone judges me - that specific track I use has some problems without using assistants. Multiple times crossing the finish line would not register if you play with the “standard” assistant level so you got laps that are almost 12 to 16 minutes long as one should only be about 3:50 minutes. You do 4 laps but they only count as one, seemed to be some bug with custom routes. So I actually hold the “W” button all the time but using the full assistance of the game. I am sitting the whole race in front of the monitor while watching most time on another one.
Counts that as AFK racing?
I miss the times of the early Forza Motorsport titles where you could hire a driver that do that driving for you. That way I got all manufacturer boni in FM1. Don’t judge me - I first played Forza Motorsport back in 2019 so it was a bit outdated and I used only a ingame mechanic (like the old lucasart titles where you could turn the supershield on in the game options) is that cheating? Oh - I did Dark Forces 1994 in the hardest game mode without super shields on. Played that many times as it was one of the first pc games I own (like TIE Fighter and X-Wing where I on the hardest difficulty destroyed any enemy ship available - good old times where some missions would took about 4 hours that way).
Even the first Grid had that feature that you could hire a driver even in the middle of the race to finish that for you. Is that cheating or using a game feature?
So long text with not much saying.
Yes - I do races designed for AFK but without being away from keyboard. And my 50 rounds goliath I did in the BMW X5M FE I only had ABS on - no other assistant - though I did a round with all assistants on and I am ashamed to tell that I was about 10 seconds faster that way. But to my defense I have to say that the one with assistants on was without AI - so may be the overtaking make some difference.
Oh and call me naive, but I didn’t get the catch with the AFK racing at first. I had to do some google and youtube research to get the hint. Had some bad luck to get that hint just after the first patch - had even some willy’s jeep in my garage with locked super wheel spins that become worthless after the patch. Was that an exploit or cheating? Is that cheating if you use an effective gun in a first person shooter?
I do that so-called AFK race only to farm skill points as I have the dream to unlock every car mastery tree for each car in my garage. So would it be more crazy to do it the “way it is meant to be” by free roam or doing it in the most effective way? I mean I do not use any kind of trainer or cheat code in the game to edit my skill points.
And for money or experience it would be much more easier doing three rounds at the goliath - needing only half of the time.
Ok ok - for some players here using the rewind is already cheating. So may be I shouldn’t write here anything at all…
