How Turn 10 can make everyone happy until we get the final product!

Please Turn 10, just give us FM4 Backward compatability and online servers and you won’t have to hear complaints and can fine tune your next product til at least November!!!

It was said last November that this was going to happen (not sure about online though…).

This would be your absolute, 100% best marketing move of all time. Think of it maybe as a GT Sport move.

Just sayin’!

Best of luck to all devs in the meantime.

Not to be the guy that mentions licensing, but with FM4 there are a number of cars we haven’t seen since that games release (including the Shelby Mustangs). Backwards compatibility works fine when a game has no issues with licensing, but here I would bet there is a problem and it may be why we haven’t seen FM4 ever show up backwards compatible.

Can you play the original Forza Horizon on Xbox One?

While it was available, Forza Horizon was listed as fully playable for both Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. Those that managed to purchase it should have that access. Forza Horizon also retained an Xbox One X Enhanced label, signaling improved performance.

If Horizon 1 is backwards compatible, liscening and all, I’m sure FM4 could be or maybe I am too optimistic.

At best, you would have to compare the car list/music list/parts list (for actual manufacturers). Those Shelbys that I mentioned weren’t in Horizon 1. I don’t think tracks would be an issue (actual tracks, not fictional), as I don’t think there are any in FM4 that we haven’t seen again in other games, I could be wrong as I haven’t played FM4 in a while.

Forza Horizon 1 was made backwards compatible before it changed status to EOL (2016). Unfortunately, Forza Motorsport 4 was one year late for the party (EOL’ed in 2015).

There is always the option to go find a refurbished 360 and a copy of FM4, but that isn’t very economical…lol.

Well, I have acquired X360 recently myself to keep access to FM4  (and perhaps previous games, as well as the PGR series). It still plays and looks great

I was able to run it a bit on a, how shall I say…“alternate” source. Ran pretty well and looked fine on my 4k monitors…lol.

Well, I don’t know how in depth it is to make a game backwards compatitable outside of paying for the needed licenses. I get those licenses could also be pricey but after T10 putting us all through yet another undisclosed delay, and based off of this “showcase” it might even be a longer wait than November. I mean looking back to last July and the Maple Valley preview, this was all footage we got to see? I’m not in game development, but based on this pace, who knows.

I would just go ahead and pay the licensing. Get it done. FM4 was the majority favorite of the whole series. You’re just giving more and more time for players to move over to PS5 until then, bleeding profits for both Turn 10 and Microsoft.

Edit: Heck, I’d pay at least $50 to play FM4 again.

I think you have chance to get a working X360 for $50

PGR series. Sooooo underrated. The reason I got an Xbox, actually. It was one of those clear green ones :yum:

So, did the fm4 servers ever come back online?

Hopefully my post doesn’t get merged into another part of this website where there’s less activity than an abandoned building in the middle of the sahara.

This could be nice if they were adding the new Le Mans class hypercar like the Peugeot 9x8 Le Mans Hypercar. And please do a multiplayer mode with 2 to 4 players in splitscreen.
