Under the restrictions on this hopper it says must be R Class and GT Body, it’s a multi class race, but I can’t see any way to get into a P class car, every lobby I’ve entered has me in the GT class
Having the same problem, every lobby I get put in a gt car. I found a hopper with 15 minutes left. It better put me in p or I’ll be mad lol. It put me in gt so hopefully it will switch to p next race.
If you end up in a lobby with 787’s and don’t have one, I’ve been running just as fast in the Toyota GT-One. Of course thats if you have that lol, the Ferrari 333 SP I’ve been turing fast laps with as well. I want to use the Peugeot if I get P class but if I see a bunch 787 I will use the Toyota or R8 even though I have the Mazda also.
What are a few good cars to have on hand going into the hopper to be prepared? Lol, I only have like 3 race cars. The Chevrolet Indy, E21 and Lauda’s Ferrari and I doubt any of them qualify for the hopper. I don’t really do a lot of racecar racing. There’s like 45 mil in the account so cost isn’t much of an issue.
When you search for 30 minutes to find a race that is almost over, or a fresh lobby… and can’t find one… But the game can find you a lobby that is 10 minutes in, and only has one person driving in it!!
Edit: Scratch that, just actually looked at the time… I’ve been searching for over an hour and not spotted a lobby with under 2 hours left…
Doesn’t look like many people get chosen for P class in these lobbies. Hopped in and out of nine and there seems to be one token guy picked for P class in every one.
its 50/50. every other player will be r or p class. cant remember which were evens and which were odds. but its no big deal, your finish is rated per class. there are two 1st place, two second, etc… and people get board. i came in 1st in r class with the ferrari which should have came in last. as long as you keep in on the road you’ll pass then when they go flying off. only two of the p class cars finished with more miles. over all i came in 3rd in the slowest car on the track. pull off to the side and wait for everyone to get thru the 1st turn in your class, stay behind the wreck. you cant win the race on the 1st lap. i pitted at about 130 miles is 75% tire wear. i couldda waited till 150 miles and probably only have had to pit once rather than twice.
and r class does start about 5-10 seconds before p class gets to start. i finished about 20 miles ahead of 2nd place in r class. passed him once on the track and once when he was in the pits. if you can keep your concentration you should be able to win your class useing any car. its not that you have to be that good, its that other people get board and lapse. or have to go to the restroom or what ever else they do.
my logic is based on the race i was in. it went red purple red purple…all the way thru all ten of us. 5 p class and 5 r class, every other player. perhaps some of the p class players quit. you are correct that it should have been 3/4 if that was the start of the race and not the end. come to think of it even the people that quit were listed when i went to results, thats how i knew only 2 p class beat me. there were 10 listed, 5 r and 5 p and i know i seen the “****** has quit” at least twice in the race and we only started with 10. well maybe once. every time you go into telemetry and close it it repeats the last quit message.
