Frankly, i’m absolutely sick of people map glitch cheating to get out of the map in tag modes. I try to report and block each and every single individual doing this as it is extremely detrimental to the gaming experience. Turn 10, please do not hesitate to warn or ban these individuals as this is a form of cheating and is immensely annoying to everyone in the lobby. A warning after 2 reports and ban after 4th. Or anything, just something lol. Or maybe you can just fix the map.
Unfortunately, reports do help when multiple complaints are submitted. However, you’d have a stronger case if you record the replay via the Game DVR feature, upload it via the Upload app, download it to your computer and email it to forzafb@microsoft.com.
One report with evidence of wrong doing is enough.
The issue is whether what the player has done does constitute a bannable offence and if there is sufficient evidence. I suspect the former requirement is where a lot of reports do not result in bans.
We may not like what people are doing but is it a bannable offence.
Surly the better option would be to have a sticky thread here so users could upload videos to it then the mods could report back to T10 to say who needs banned rather than taking the time away from T10?
The DVR “evidence” won’t show the offender’s gamertag or those involved in the race, like a Replay would. Suggesting sending them to Turn 10 won’t have any effect because you could say the gamertag is one thing, but there is no proof of it.
File the Report to Xbox LIVE using the proper gamertag through the Dashboard/Friends. Use “Find someone” in the left pane, then go into the Report or block section. In Report, use Unsporting behavior and enter a message of the incident(s), the game and which track it happened on. Then submit it. The Policy Enforcement Team (PET) has the staffing to even visit and observe the individual during actual gameplay to see what they’re doing.
Thanks for the reply guys. I never thought of recording it and sending it off but what a fantastic idea. It’s extra work but I’m willing to do it to make the lobby a better place. Eduardo, ofcourse it’s ban-able. A cheater is taking the no1 spot as well as all subsequent spots from the other players. Not only that, people play the game for over 10 minutes only to have to leave. How would you feel. If you dont think that’s ban-able it only makes me think you’re one of them lol.
Please don’t misinterpret my post as saying this behaviour is ok.
I dislike this behaviour as much as you.
But the next time I see someone banned for this, or complaining about being banned for this will be the first.
I know what the code of conduct says but I have not seen any evidence of seeing it applied in cases such as this. Yes I know bans are not always in the public eye but people tend to complain when banned including on the official xbox forums which I read a lot, both for entertainment and to educate my son since he has some friends I do not trust.
The in-game Reports from FM5 go to Xbox LIVE’s system, not Turn 10. A DVR’d segment on such activities does not show the gamertag either, so there gores the evidence.
Each time a person ruins the normal game event, either crashing or exploiting a glitch in the game (they’re not supposed to be exploited, see the Code of Conduct) it is a violation, and the Policy Enforcement Team at Xbox LIVE will get the pattern quickly.
“Virus tag” was my favorite but I stopped playing when some cheaters kept the game going for hours - literally - one waited over 4 hours for me to leave. no idea what he gets out of it. I reported a couple dozen people but the only thing I saw from it was the cheaters leaving when I’d keep calling them out over the headset. (Nothing nasty, just patiently reminding them, over and over, that they are cheating and should quit out, and coaching others how to get their GT and do an XBox abuse report.) Much to my surprise, I’d keep seeing reported players day after day.
“Not It” and “Keep the It” are both good tag-lobby bets. They can still be cheated, but the races are timed - so they can only ruin your gaming experience 5 minutes at a time.
they may have fallen asleep. and not to be mean but better there than the racing lobbies where they jam up the start race after race. why does it always put the sleeping people at the front of the grid?
and there is not set number, its a ratio or a %. its reports/events played online. and even then i dont think its a ban, it just puts them in rooms with others of the same rating. i have no idea what the ratio is but if i were to guess i would say probably twice the average. and i have no idea what the average is either.
I bet waiting 4 hours was a load of fun for both of you. Why wait 4 hours for him. Utter madness. Now I know why most posts are about being bored and not having fun anymore if this is what people are getting upto. Lol
The main part of the last two messages is “even then i dont think” which would be correct, because you don’t know. If you don’t actually KNOW, please reserve the pixels used to make posts without factual information.

I am totally against corner cutting, but I will still do it if others are doing it otherwise it’s unfair and I end up finishing the race last even though I’m a quick racer. The entire problem here is the fact that in real life if corner cutting happens, the race authorities punish the driver, but in Forza 5 there is no penalty system setup besides sticky ground on some corners…
Wow, just wow. Some of these people actually seem to just disappear from the map altogether. These guys but they seem to have found another method of hiding. Turn10, would it not make sense to add some sort of time limit to this mode as well? I mean a 10 or 15 minute time limit would be great.
Thanks!
ps - i have over 60 players blocked on my account due to this and it’s a daily thing… sobbing…
