Hello, I haven’t found much information about solo mode, are we still able to cruise with bots and no other player? Or are we forced into the open world thing?
For me that’s one of the most important thing in the game, I enjoy driving, but in my own space.
Well everyone is ghosted while in online free-roam anyway, so you’d never be able to be trolled or anything.
But as they’ve said you’ll only need an online connection at the first launch of the game, there will definitely again be a solo mode with bots.

The whole ghosted cars thing was such a horrible compromise. Sure it prevents trolling, but it also is one of the many things that made the open world feel vapid and more of an affectation than the compelling interactive sandbox it had been in previous iterations.
It was also solving a problem that we already had much better solutions to, those solutions being a better, more fleshed out solo experience and private online sessions. Except those solutions got taken away, leaving us with only the horrible compromise.
If I were game director, I’d go back to solo mode being the default option. The problem with open matchmaking modes being forced on people is that it ruins those dynamic online moments, because many people online don’t want to be there. Ghosting would still need to be a thing unfortunately, but it would be easy to group up and start a private session, with no ghosting.
