How Forza Fakes Close Racing

Testing the behavior of the cars in game and not replays, with telemetry on, should have been the first step.
I don’t agree with the sentence “This is basic physics”, there’s nothing basic here, since we’re talking about engineering and fluid dynamics.
Anyway, if there’s any suspicious behavior from the car, it’s certainly useful to point it out, but it’s crucial to wait for a feedback from developers before jumping to conclusions.
Apparently, in real life, the leading car could actually experience a reduction in aerodynamic drag, and so probably in downforce, when approached by another car from behind. I don’t know if it’s what’s happening here (assuming that something is happening), but it’s wise to wait for a feedback since, regardless of adequate tests, this “issue” have been already highlighted in the troubleshooting section.
