Is it a tally of the points per match, or does it look at your average lap score and bracket you from that?
I just did my 10 qualifier games. In only 2 of those games I was matched with people you would expect (other people qualifying and ranks around 11-15). Also, every game but 2 had at least 1 person in Grandmaster rank and a bunch of high ranks. 8 out of 10 games I was massively outranked by a large majority for the most part.
Throughout the games I played, I would consistently score better than people in ranks 12-15, 11’s gave me a run for my money but it was about 50-50 with those, so when I finally got my rank I expected to be around 11 or 12 at a push, but I ended up at 14.
It seems there are so few people playing Drift Adventure that any kind of skill based matchmaking is completely out the window, so does the ranking system reflect that or is it basically completely rigged for newer people to lose and start (and probably stay) at the bottom?
I was hoping to grind to at least rank 10 for the starcard triumph, but everything I’ve read previously says how heavy the grind is to rank up. Add to that, if I’m ranked by points per match while playing against the highest ranks pretty consistently, then it’s probably not a grind I’m prepared to start.
