if you mean songs you can just switch radio’s till you find this “radio off”.

go to audio settings and try midnight preset? I think that’s the best way to lower all in-game sound since there is no master volume slider (T10/PG: hint hint!)

I get that you’ve turned the games audio settings down and it’s still not enough and maybe I’m missing something but I don’t see why you’re still having a problem. What do you mean by “there is no option in the windows volume mixer.” If Windows is installed correctly and you have some kind of on-board sound or sound card (which should be every computer) then a slider should be visible when you click the volume icon on the far right side of the windows taskbar. If for some strange reason you haven’t got that can’t you simply turn your speaker volume down? Even laptops have that option.

Your missing something, if they want the pc volume down then anyone that was able to find them self to this forum should know how to do that. The problem he is having is same as me. I can’t hear any other audio over the games audio even on level one. That means my party chat is unusable, and there is no slider to fix that. Ga me volume is as low as it goes. I can only turn it up from there and my pc volume, music on chat, even youtube videos on their loudest setting are being drowned out. I hope you get it now.

Okay, yes I get you all now. You’re saying that the game volume is overpowering chat/teamspeak etc and there’s no way to lower the game any further or turn chat up. I missed that, sorry, I thought you were all talking about the general volume but to be fair the OP never mentioned chat/teamspeak etc, just the volume being too loud.
My bad, ignore me.

This is really annoying how there is no option in the volume mixer. Having the volume on 1 in game is still loud, which is fine when solo playing but when I am in Teamspeak with a friend I cannot hear anything. I understand I could adjust the TS sound setting but why should I have to, for just one game?

Try this out of you haven’t got a volume icon/slider in the task bar:

  1. From the Windows 10 desktop, right-click on the taskbar, then select Properties to open the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties box.
  2. In the Taskbar tab, left-click the Customize… button on the right of ‘Notification area:’ to open the Settings/SYSTEM/Notifications & actions window.
  3. In that window, under Quick actions, left-click on ‘Select which icons appear on the taskbar’ to open the Settings/SELECT WHICH ICONS APPEAR ON THE TASKBAR window.
  4. In that window, a list of icons are displayed with their names and on/off switches. Find the Volume icon and select the switch to On. Close the window.
  5. You may have to restart Windows for this change to take effect.

Found thru Google in a few seconds.

But as I said above, is there something stopping you turning your speakers volume down?

There is nothing wrong with my Taskbar or the icons on it.

The issue is Windows 10 does not show Store Apps in the Volume Mixer.

If I lower the speaker volume, everything else is lowered also, which defeats the purpose of me lowering the volume to hear Teamspeak, as that would be quieter too.

You’re not understanding. The volume sliders in the game itself do not work, none of them have any affect on their respective volume levels. Even if you turn, say, the radio slider or sound effects slider all the way from 10 to 1, the volume stays at 10. This is a problem because if we have other audio sources (Discord voice chat, etc.) we need to hear, turning down the system volume itself is not an option.

This is not him misunderstanding, this is an unintentional bug in the game itself.

I have taken a screenshot of the problem itself and im sure there is no way of changing it only when you play the game solo. http://prntscr.com/clmeu3

I have the exact same problem when i was still playing on PC (bad stuttering and frame drops so i gave up) and i also have the same problem on xbox streaming. I ended up downloading a program called ear trumpet and it allows me to turn down the xbox volume.

Crappy solution to the problem but thats all i could find. Pretty weird problem to have on a AAA title no?

Hey so windows 10 does not natively support the ability to lower the volume of apps individually, which I know is the dumbest thing in the world. However, if you go to the app store and look up “Ear Trumpet” there is a free app, here is a link EarTrumpet - Official app in the Microsoft Store, this app allows you to adjust the volume of apps in windows 10 which forza is so good luck have fun and ill see you on the track!

Hey i had the same problem. Download the Ear Trumpet software from the windows store it fully works.
