How do you get your livery up first?

I’ve wasted a lot of time at the start of Seasons making some nice liveries on newly available cars only to have them NEVER (to my knowledge) show up among the new or trending Paint jobs available on the ‘Find New Paints’ window. I’ve also made liveries Before the Season starts for a few of the Cars you’re required to drive for the 4 part Weekly Challenge too. They seem to get little or no reception and I’ve checked the Autoshow to see if they show up with the other suggested Liveries and they don’t…

I seem to be better off just making paints for cars that are not new or required for any seasonal task. Why? Are you guys somehow getting paints up before cars are available? How far in advance of a seasonal do you need to make and share a paint in order for it to actually be shown with the other New and Trending liveries?

The vinyl comp is the best way. The winners designs go to the front of the queue. The designs not in the comp go to the front of your followers queue.

Like a competition? How do you enter? I didn’t know that there was one. I’ve been missing out! : )

The facts are winning designs only go to the front of the queue until the next contest is completed. If by that time you have not garnered enough downloads to beat the other top 20, then your contest winning entry returns to the black hole and the “Turn 10 featured livery” is removed (forza 7). So even if you get first, you be darn lucky to stay there much beyond the 1st week. Nice, ain’t it

Thx for the info. I can’t figure out where to enter.

When a month crosses into another month they skip the comp. The weekly comp can’t be in two different months, at least it gives you longer to make a new design, or take a photo.

This is not true, at least for FH4.

Featured winners remain there until they are replaced with new winners (and there’s like 4 slots for featured by car).

My winning paints from December are still featured, so are everyone else’s.

I stand corrected (not having FH4 I’m obviously at a disadvantage) - but it is true for FM7.

One would think that they would keep the same format between games in this regard (makes absolutely no sense why it’s done different for FH4)… But thanks for the info regardless.

Depends on the motor. Nissan GT-R Black, ‘03 Fairlady Z, 240SX SE for example all have 5 featured designs. I can’t remember off hand but I’m sure I’ve seen other models with more than that.
