How are base credits calculated?

I’m wondering if anybody knows the exact sums used to work out the base credit reward before I go off and do some experiments myself. I want to know answers to questions like:
How much are credits reduced by per position lost? And, when considering difficulty bonuses, what’s the lowest position you can achieve on Unbeatable while still getting better rewards than winning on Pro or Expert?
Is time spent racing used in the calculation (so car speed is irrelevant), or number of laps (so faster cars are better)?
If it’s down to time, does track complexity have an effect? As in, would an hour spent at Daytona yield different rewards from an hour at Nurburgring?

I’m sure there must be a spreadsheet somewhere to answer these fun maths questions but I couldn’t find it.

If ManteoMax doesnt have these numbers I dont think anyone else has.

Here are some threads that might be helpful:

Could be a spread sheet but have not seen one now down to basick

Less that 12 Drivtars will start to reduce your payout
Speed equals more money more speed more laps do not do time races in freeplay as Drivtar bonus may not be added.
50 laps of Daytona take about 35min and pays about 500,000 with full mods and FE cars and 12 drivtars on unbetable.
10 laps of Le mans full takes about 35 min and pays about 500,000 with full mods and FE Car and 12 drivtars on unbetable.
Using less than 12 drivtars will reduce your Base rate resulting in a drop of several thousand credits.

1 hour of racing Using 3 100% mods, A car with a 100% bonus eg Ford Escort FE pays 50% plus 50% for night and Drivtar Bonus of 100% as well as 100% for VIP will generat about 1,400,000 credits and about 80,000XP

So race fast race long and rake in the creds and Xp

Good post

Have you done any calcualtions about the dificulty settings. IE is it better to always win on 80 % AI, or better to play on unbeatable but not win so often ?

Also have you done calcualtions on other tracks. I am mostly looking to do some interesting and fun races with good payouts ( I dont mind if it is not as effective as racing the Ovals ) but still want good payouts.

I will try and test a few setups later this week if i have time

Ok as for diffcuilty setting it maks no difference at all on base pay out the only thing that seemes to effect the base pay is the number of Drivtars less than 12 and base starts to drop.

And so far 1 hour of racing the same class of cars arround different track seemes to net about the same per hour, but this will change greatly if you use a B class car compared to a R or P class you will still get the same per lap but your hourly rate is affected as you are doing less laps per hour.

Thanks for the links, very helpful. I’m kinda disappointed that the payout is on a per lap basis, though. It seems to incentivise using only the very fastest cars, making lower-class races uneconomical. Looks like I might have to research myself whether it’d be profitable to play on Unbeatable but not win so often.

I have found the faster the car the more likely you are to win or place on unbeatable. E, D, C or B car I might come anywhere from 3rd to 16th and the 3rd is on random grid starting up near or close to poll and running defense all the way. A, S or P I don’t have the same issue but P really kicks it. I barrel rolled on the first corner Le Mans(my fave in Ford GT FE) in a P car starting from 22nd on unbeatable and when I landed upright kept going 4 lap race finished 9th. My worst result in a P car but if it was a C, for example, I would not have seen another car the rest of the race. If you max out a car to P place it on unbeatable and work the track(your fave) your last comment - Unbeatable but not win so often - will get turned in its ear to you might lose the odd race but should manage 1st or a place in most races.

I think I’m going to do some sums during the week sometime. I have the feeling it won’t be simple, though! For example, let’s just say that placing 3rd on Unbeatable nets you more credits than 1st at Pro. The base credits will be lower but the difficulty bonus makes up for it. But then mod and FE bonuses are based on the base credits, so those rewards get less significant for every position lost, regardless of difficulty. Will the extra difficulty bonus make up for this? I suspect not. Time for maths!

I suppose the easiest answer is to play on Unbeatable anyway and get good…

I don’t know the stats but i always find you get more base credits depending on distance covered. I only do extra long races now because i don’t want to have the game complete too soon, and i always use my best mods when i am covering about 90-100 miles per race. I am about to start a 40 lap race on Road Atlanta which is 2.54 miles per lap so i know to use good mods for this one.

I know the exact for forza 6.

I think I worked it out, well if you finshed 1st out of 24 I know the basics.

Credits are calced off your xp you earned.

Xp is rounded and the credits are also rounded from the rounded xp.

Each track has a base xp per lap that is rounded.

Basicaly I got so far is that its the rounded xp *1.688 = credits then rounded.

The rounding is the same as FM6. less than 10k is round to 100. Between 10k-100k is rounded to 1k. 100k+ xp is rounded to 10k xp.
