Horizon Promo Rework a.k.a. Making Taking Photos Fun Again

In the introduction, I want to acknowledge all readers that this is a topic for future Horizon installments

As we all know, Horizon Promo is a very tedious task and requires grinding and patience. That is because of the need to find every possible car in the game to complete it.

So, why don’t we shake up that formula, a little bit, and loosen the requirements to get a good photo shoot.

For instance: During the “X” race, make a photo of two rally monster cars;

or:

During the “Y” race, make a photo of 3 Japanese sport cars.

or even:

During the “Z” race make a photo of buggy while it’s midair.

As for circumstances during races it could be tied as an additional objective to a race and not tied to a specific car to avoid “you gotta catch 'em all” type of thing

And you may ask:

“What’s so different about this formula than the previous one?”

And here comes the second part:

Each photo you take can land as a:

  • postcard
  • magazine cover
  • poster
  • horizon webpage photo
  • (tell me if I missed some medium)

Then, when you decorate the photo, similar to how car painting works, you can upload it to your „Horizon Hub webpage” and other users can look it up there.

Also, an expansion upon this idea is to return to the roots of the series:

-with a preselected car,
-drive to the landmark destination,
-and make a photo there.

That could fit nicely with the exploring theme and probably would add a possibility of unlocking car meeting spots all over the map.

We also should talk about the numbers of this endeavor. I think that no more than 40 different scenarios for races and an additional “X” (based on the number of special landmarks on the map, like ones in FH4) similar to photo stunts from FH1 would be a balanced number and wouldn’t be as tedious as you might think.

Also addressing current seasonal photo challenges, they are a step in the right direction, but in my opinion, are blandly executed in FH5

PS.: „Horizon Hub webpage” could also combine other creative hub topics, such as: your vinyl and performance tuning creations, Event Lab races, etc., but it is a theme for another topic: Horizon Hub webpage / Horizon Network
