Gotta say I’m disappointed. I spent a good amount of time and credits finishing the brick challenges (had to buy a Hennessy venom and a jaguar F type to complete them), and many of them were fun challenges. However, I was hoping the finale would be more like the introductory race to LEGO land that involved a relay style race of all three of the LEGO cars. Or maybe some kind of showcase racing the UFO I built at my house. Something different. But it wasn’t! It was just two laps of the Goliath circuit limited to using one of the three LEGO vehicles.
Even a different route would have been better. They already had the relay race done it could have easily been repeated as the finale. I would like to replay it, it really introduced the LEGO map well and let me drive all three cars.
I didn’t think I’d enjoy the LEGO map much it’s too far removed from car culture to me but I bought the ultimate edition at launch so it was included in my purchase (albeit I had no idea what the expansions would be back then). I figured since I had it I would try it and it was not bad, just different. But if you are going to make a finale race that requires 100% completion of every single other part of the LEGO expansion, put the effort in to make it unique.
