At least the game does appear to have /some/ top-down cars. But yeah, there really should be more in this kind of genre.
I guess the plus-side is that the car list loses that Gran Turismo effect of a car list filled with regular/spyder duplicates. Nice to see the Ferraris aren’t cluttered by the racing F40/F50 duplicates either. Playground Games have learned well.

This, as far as I know, there’s still 23 cars left to be revealed. What should be enough for 2 reveals.
The final reveal is next week. 211 would be the same as the final amount of total cars the first game had (actually 218 if you include the 5 special livery cars that came with the collectors edition and the 2 special livery Mustangs).

To be honest, car list is terrible. Most of these cars are already in forza 5. We want new cars. We want the new mercedes S class, jaguar F-type, porsche 911, cars that people love to drive not a ford Transit Super Sport Van. or at least they can upgrade the old cars. That maserati GTS was in there since forza 3, at least upgrade it to the 2014 version.

The cars are there because people like them. I love the 90s/early 2000s imports and the old knockers. The classic 595 is a blast to buggy around in. The cars wouldn’t be here if people didn’t like them. They couldn’t afford to laser scan 200 new cars for each game. You should be happy we’re getting a few new cars at all. The newer the car, the more expensive it would be to license and scan. So they have to compromise and cherry pick just a couple.
Well the 595 hasn’t been confirmed yet if it doesn’t get revealed next week I’m hoping it makes it back in the game as DLC also hoping the RX-3 makes it back into the game also.

I guess you are right, and i apologize if i was complaining too much, and i totally understand that everyone has a different taste in cars and i guess they are doing pretty good job in satisfying everyone.
i just wish that i can play with the 911 in my favorite racing game, i guess i`ll have to wait 
Oh that’s not a problem with Forza. That’s because of EA. EA has an exclusive license on Porsche cars which is why Forza gets RUF instead. Turn 10 would have to negotiate with EA and of course EA would only license for a lot of money. Hopefully we’ll get a Porsche DLC pack like Forza added for Forza… 4? I think we had that for Forza 4.
I’m pretty sure that in the run up to Forza 5 it was mentioned by Dan that it wasn’t EA who were the problem with licensing Porsche.
Microsoft gave up the Ferrari licence so EA could have Ferrari in NFS and now The Crew has the LaFerrari.

Makes their work easier, not much to remodel lol, guess the new cars will come in Fm6/Horizon 3 (or whatever its gonna be called)
OT, im just happy thers so many events, much more chance to utilise the great cars, FH1 didnt have a good replay value for SP since all the AI stayed the same and there wasnt many events, expecting fh2 to be better in that sense
There will be plenty of new cars via DLC probably not a lot in the first couple of packs just like with Forza 5 but by the third pack there will probably be a good amount of new cars. Plus with Forza Fuel four more new cars where revealed today.
They’re from google most of them so im not getting my hopes up just yet, but theres a good chance, like someone has said the cars seem ones which suit the scene
Really fantastic list in my opinion. So many great cars which we should all expect to have returned to the series given that if they weren’t, we’d be missing out on some of the best and most popular cars of all time. My favourites are all there!
There’s this whole ‘we should be thankful that we’re getting anything at all’ attitude all over this forum and it’s pathetic indeed. We pay a lot of money for the games we buy and that means we shouldn’t get the same thing we’ve been getting for years all over again. Developers, with many games, have taken the easy way out. The majority of the cars are from Froza 5, even the main engine is from Forza 5. Since the ground work and technology was there already, they could have scanned a lot of new cars, fitting this game much better. Yes, that’s another thing, a lot of the cars, while beatiful, do not belong in this game at all. Don’t give us the whole car and music culture speach over and over again as long as you put cars in the game that do not fit that description at all. A lot of the cars just wouldn’t be at such a venue at all. On top of that, we’ve all driven so many of these cars now for years, isn’t it about time for some new ones? No, the developers took the easy road and port as much over as they could. Yes, they build a new world for us to drive in, but even with that they have seemed to take quite some shortcuts again.
What I find the worst though in all this is the way the present it all. They promise so much and make us all excited and then they fail to deliver and live up to the expectations they deliver. As with Horizon 1, Horizon 2 will be so much fun, but always leaving you with the nagging feeling that it could have been so much more.
Just to show how weak Horizon 2 is compared to the Crew for example… the last beta that was released for the Crew only containted 5% of content that will be in the final game… only 5%. The 5% of content in that beta is already way more then the full Horizon 2 will give us.
